He has done this before and after 4 or 5 days was better but this time he is hopping as opposed to limping. he was limping at first and then switched to the hop a day later. his foot was swollen the first day or two but seems fine now. this is about day 4. thanks

You should send your cat to the vet as soon as possible.

Your cat might of hurt itself the first time and re injured it the second time. You need to take him in now before it become a long term issue. He's probably in pain. Animals instincts are to not appear hurt no matter what the case. If you see a cat limping that means it's serious. My wife's a Vet, she'll tell you the same thing. Good luck.

i feel sry that noone else decided to answer wen u were in need. but my cat, i thought her legs were paralyzed once and i thought i would lose her. she limped and dragged her legs on the floor and i felt so sry for her... i took her to the vet even THOUGH my mom siad they couldnt do anything, and they said she mustve fallen out of a tree and she had a minor break. we gave her medicine and she improved. we still haffa help jump up to get to her food, but otherwise, shes fine. i think u should take her to the vet to see wats wrong cuz u never REALLY no. and it makes u feel better to no u can do sumthing!! :) hope this helps!!

You've already left it long enough. Clearly the problem is not going to get better by itself. If he's done this before, it's obviously a problem that is going to reoccur, and presumably get worse if left. Therefore I would advise getting him to the vet as soon as possible, before the problem gets too bad and/or too expensive to fix. It could well be a joint problem and it's already been left quite long enough.
