I would use diaper wipes on a cat. Dogs can handle it better than cats and cats usually do a pretty good job cleaning themselves unless there is another issue invloved.

Cats do need the occasional bath, but NOT for a few weeks after any traumatic experience such as a birth. It's a myth that cats don't need baths, obviously they won't die without one, but it's a good idea to give them a thorough washing every 4-6 months. Definitely wait at least 6 weeks. I used waterless cat wipes on my cats about once a month, and after my foster mother cat had kittens. You can find them at Walmart, they're cheap, but don't use them on a cat any younger than 8 weeks.

No!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The soap that you would use on the mommy would get into the kittens when they nursed. It is not really good to give mom a bath until the kittens are at least 8 weeks old and their systems can handle it. Mom will clean herself up better than you can. If you were to give her one now the soap could get inside where she has not healed yet and make her very ill and it could make it to were she got an infection and that could cost you alot of money for vet bill's and could even kill her.

I wouldn't recommend giving her a bath the kittens need their mama for a little while she will want to stay close to them, plus unless you plan on blow drying her I only see a wet cat shaking and shivering doing poorly to keep her kittens warm.

Have you ever bathed her before?

I would not recommend ever bathing a cat (unless she was dropped in a mud hole).

You certainly don't want to bathe her now! Just leave her and the kittens alone for a while. No baths for at least 6 weeks.

Good luck! :)

No, leave Raven alone for now. I would think bathing her might make her vulnerable to infection so soon after birthing kittens. Leave her to take care of her babies for the time being and do consider getting her spayed.

why?? Unless she has gotten something really gross in her fur, cats do not need baths, they clean themselves. You would definitely disturb the kittens too much right now anyway. Just leave well enough alone

If she needs a little help with her bathing, just use a wet wash cloth on her.
Some long hair cats need a little extra care but I wouldn't bath her yet.

No, no, no. Leave her be. She'll take care of herself and you don't want to remove her scent. It might upset the kittens. Cats are very clean and she'll do the right thing.
