I have a cat that does that from time to time. She's been checked out by the vet, and everything's fine. I don't think you have anything to worry about unless it happens more than once a week or so.

Any kitty that has bouts of the sniffles is likely to be a carrier of cat 'flu. This means she harbours the virus without usually showing the symptoms, but can pass the disease onto other animals even when she is not symptmatic. In retrospect I think my cat may have been a carrier - she was never vaccinated. Sometimes her eyes would be watery or gunky and she would sneeze a little more than normal. Once she had quite a bad flare up that I took her to the vet about.

Has your cat had vaccinations?

Cats do not really get 'colds' - just be aware if your cat is snotty at all and has never been vaccinated she is likelyto be carrying a virus even if she isn't suffering from it.

Yes and no, whats the age of the cat? is it an out door cat, does he deal with dust or pollen?

Most of the time, the answer is no, its not normal, if it happens often. Do you notice any drippings? Or eye goop? it may be a nasal infection.

But if the cat is an outdoor cat, like mine, then they deal with allergies just like you and me, and it may just be the pollen in the air, or dust kicked up from play, that are making your furry Friend sneeze.

Yeah, cats can get sick just like people do. Take her to the vet and get her some meds.
