and i have no one to talk to and i dont know what to do. she was 11, and she belonged to my little brother who died a few years ago. it was like she was the last piece of him that was livng. someone kicked her so hard in the stomach it killed her, she was in so much pain b4 she died and when the vet tried to give her painkilling drip she couldnt take it anymore.

what should i do now? i dont want to just leave her with the vet. she died alone and i feel so guilty, i had just left her and the vet foned 5 mins later.

She's a very sweet lap-cat, but took a long time to warm up to me -- and is still afraid of pretty much everyone else. In the foster home I got her from, she sat on a high shelf near the ceiling, avoiding the other cats. Is there a type of cat she could be friends with? Or do you think her personality dooms her to being an only-cat?

The sweetest thing my cat does is when I feed him, he takes a bite and then turns around and rubs up against my leg purring and then goes back to his food. Its like he is saying thank you!!!

A bit of an odd question to ask so blame the girlfriend as they are her cats!

If a female cat has been neutered, do they remain sexually active or just lose all inclination towards the practice? Additionally, are male cats (un-neutered) able to tell which females are neutered by smell or some or some other reason and therefore pursue them less?

Many thanks

When will she be done nursing her kittens? Then do i need to give them kitten food or can I soften regular cat food for them?

My kitten will only drink directly from the tap while it is dripping or slowly running. Any tap will do, laundry, bath, kitchen sink! I have been told ceramic bowls are the best because they keep the water cool. I have it next to her food bowl in the laundry, and I change it every day so it is always fresh, but she will not drink from it. She will also drink the warm soapy bath water while the kids are in it! She's crazy!!!!!

I went on Sunday to adopt a cat from a pet shelter. I was upset that they had so many black cats there. I adopted two black cats, brother and sister, and they are the sweetest cats you'll ever meet.

So, my question is, are you superstitious of black cats so much that you wouldn't save one from being killed in a shelter?

Someone please help, i think its a female but it looks male as well (I'm no expert) it even 'meorrrrrsssss' while its eating!

another problem is that i have another cat thats very possessive of what she decides are hers which includes me, the house and any sort of breathing space she occupies.

so any ideas on how to make the new cat shut up and my other one stop bringing out the claws?

My husband bought cat food for senior cats. He said it is okay as it is only softer. What is the difference between senior cat food and adult cat food?

One of my friends has this cat that is well mean. they got it from a shelter and it does nothing but hiss and growl at everyone includeing my friend and her mom. I think that the cat is evil but i am told no animal can be. Perhaps it was abused at one time?

The reason why i think it is evil is one day i went over to her house and i did not see the cat anywhere. when i went to leave the cat jumped off the back of a chair and dug its claws into my face and neck and started biteing me. I pulled the cat off and thow it on the ground and my friends brother put it in a cat carrier. I was bleeding and had to go to my doctor to get a shot for i would not get a infection.
Was the cat just being mean or is it possible it is evil?

I love cats! but not my friends. it died earlier this year we all think in died of pent up rage. even her mom was relieved that it passed. Should i feel guilty for hateing a animal.

I've tried several things but nothing seems to be just quite right. What products and methods do you use to bathe your furry felines? I'm looking for a way that eases the cat's nerves and keeps you from getting all scarred up too. Thanks! :o)

Ok this might be a stupid question but i need to know. My cat has really bad breath. I know for dogs you give them dog bones, but is there something to give a cat.
Thanks

There's this guy at my work, whom ive always thought was a decent man. Well, as he calledi n sick last week, words leaked about his 32 cats. I am soooo against cat hoarders, and its digusting irresponsible and just flat out cruel. He is a 'breeder', only he's not selling the cats, just impregnating the 5-7 month old kittens to add more to his collection. He also is a judge and shower at cat shows. And last i checked, cat hoarding was ILLEGAL to those regulations. I'm stuck, because every part of me wants to turn him in, save those cats. But if I do this, not only will i ruin his life, but I will ruin his partners as well, as he will be out of a job. (they work together as professional dog groomers) And, I also take 70% of my bosses business away. And thats not fair to her, from me. So its like what do I do with what i know.. any suggestions ????

I reached down to tweek her utters and could not get any milk out of them...is that normal? Her utters are 1/16 inch in diameter and 1/4 inch long...that's seems really small. This female cat is only 2-1/2 years old and this is her first birth, only 2 kitties lived.

I have a kitten who is almost 14 weeks old. Long story short, my husband was deployed, he got injured, came home, we got a kitten. I was living at home, so now we are all living at home, with my parents.

We are moving out in a couple weeks to an apartment. Until then, we keep the kitten in the bedroom with us most of the day and take him downstairs in the evening and at night. (We don't want him to run around unless he is being supervised since there is an adult cat in the house and he gets into mischief!!!

Is this okay for the kitten for the time being? Is it okay to keep a kitten in a bedroom, as long as he has food, water and his litter box and we let him play with the adult cat for a few hours a day?

My brother-in-law found a very young kitten and he has what appears to be conjunctivitis. Does anyone know of any possible home cures? Please let me know as soon as possible. The kitten is only MAYBE about a month old. Also, has anyone noticed this before? His back toes on his left foot seem to be completely gone. It doesn't seem to be bothering him, but should I be worried anyway?
