It could be a cold - and will probably go away.
However, it can get complicated, if the viral infection travels to the lungs or bronchial area causing a lower respiratory infection or if a secondary bacterial infection occurs in the nose, mouth or eye area.
This is why at the first sign your cat is coming down with a cold, you should call your vet. This ounce of prevention can honestly save you many vet dollars, should the cold develop into something more serious.

Sounds like a cat cold. Cats get colds too which can be passed from cat to cat, but luckily not to humans. If you take her to the vet he will prescribe some antibiotics. I learnt this when I was looking for my cat at the pound. They actually had a message at the front of the cage explaining why the cat was away from the other cats and that if you wanted to adopt any of the cats with a cold you would have to wait until they were better.

The vet might desire to have placed the cat on antibiotics for that greater respiration. Take her to a various vet, ask approximately amoxicillian, clavamox or azithromyacin to do away with the sneezing and mucus.

Hi--
My kitten is having the same problem. The vet diagnosed it as a kitty cold, not an URI so no antibiotics were prescribed. They did give us some pills to help break up the mucus. We were also advised not to use any nasal drops containing acetaminophen, since cats livers cannot handle this drug, they will die. I saw a previous post telling you to use nasal drops, so if you do, make sure they don't contain any acetaminophen! Good luck!

Sounds like a cold that could easily become pneumonia. Cat's can die from this. Take her to the vet. He will most likely give her a shot of penicillin or give you some pills for her.
If found in both the mouth and nose, she may already have pneumonia. Please do not delay. This disease can kill quickly and if not, can seriously make the cat so ill that she gets something else.

Take her to the vet be sure to tell the vet colour/consistency of mucus. If you have other cats keep her isolated. Make sure to mention kitty cold to the receptionist so they can keep her away from other cats in the waiting area

Upper respiratory infection. My cat was diagnosed with one at the beginning of May and given antibiotics.
It is possible cats can develop allergies and even asthma.
A vet will be able to diagnose. Don't wait. Take her in.

She either has a cold or she might be allergic to something. It sounds strange , but it does happen. More than likely though, it's an upper respiratory infection. If thats the case, she will need to have some meds.

m not a doc. but if the vet hosp is not nearby, use nasal drops. it helps just like in humans. her respiration will be a little relaxed, for i m sure she cant breath properly right now. take her to a vet ASAP. for it cud turn bad for her. theres an animal hospital in parel. she will slowly lose interest in food. giv medical help immediately. wish her a happy recovery. do not delay.

It sounds like your cat might have an upper respiratory infection. I would take her to the vet, just to be sure.
