My brother-in-law found a very young kitten and he has what appears to be conjunctivitis. Does anyone know of any possible home cures? Please let me know as soon as possible. The kitten is only MAYBE about a month old. Also, has anyone noticed this before? His back toes on his left foot seem to be completely gone. It doesn't seem to be bothering him, but should I be worried anyway?

the kitten has probably caught herpes from his mother at birth. wipe out the eyes with a warm rag and once all the goop is out you can put regular neosporin around the eye lid, if some gets in the eyes its ok, it doesn't hurt them. then if the problem continues take him to the vet

Well... You need to get the kitten to the vet immediately.
Conjunctivitis can cause many problems for your kitten... including blindness and may require getting its eye removed.
But for right now you can moisten a cotton ball with warm water and hold it against the eyelid for a minute or two. This should soften the discharge enough for you to remove it and open the eye. This is not a cure, only a temporary treatment until you can get the kitten to the vet.

There are no home cures for these types of eye infections. You'll need to get some medication from the vet. Some cats are born with less toes or more toes. That happens. Just make sure it was a birth defect and not something that's hanging or scabbed over because it will need medical attention right away if it is. Good Luck!

Try bathing the eye in warm water to keep it from sticking together but I would advise you to get your brother-in law to take the kitten straight to the vet as conjunctivitis is also a sign of cat flu especially in a kitten that young and without treatment it is fatal so try and get an appointment a.s.a.p

good luck

Flush his eyes with saline solution twice a day. The most effective treatment I have found is also using Terramycin eye salve for pets. It's not a prescription but is very costly when bought through a vet. Try buying it on Ebay for the best price. Flush the eyes in the am & pm with the saline and then hold the eye open and put the Terramycin directly onto the eye. Next, gently pull the upper lid over the eye to the bottom lid to insure the salve is in. Do this twice a day for about 10 days. You will know the infection is gone when the upper lid is no longer a bright red. As for the toes, it may just be a genetic defect. If there is no infection or pain, his toeless foot is fine! (I've seen many cats missing toes and they've all been born that way.)

I got identified with herpes (type 2) about 5 years ago, whilst I was still attending college and had a dumb one-night stand. I understand a lot of people say this, but I swear I had never done that sort of thing before. I just made a mistake that one time and all of a sudden it seemed like I was going to have to live with the implications for the rest of my life. The hardest part was feeling I could never date guys again. In the end, who wants to go out with someone that has sores round her "you know what" area? But since a friend shared this video https://tr.im/TvFx9 everything improved.

Not only was I able to eradicate all traces of the hsv from my body in less than 21 days, but I was also able to start dating again. I even met the guy of my dreams and I'm so blessed to write that just last week, in front of everyone in a crowded restaurant, he got down on one knee and proposed to me!!! This method provided me the chance to be happy and experience true love again. Now I hope that I can help others by sharing this story.

We can likewise dependably do exercises. There are exercises, for example, rolling your eyeball to form an undetectable square that are constantly recommended by the doctors to improve one's vision. I don't think about rapidly as there is no quick approach to reach one's objective. Vegetarians can help to improve one's vision. I accept it in light of the fact that I am a vegetarian and my eye short-sightedness power remains the same without any increase after around 2 years. The doctor was stunned in light of the fact that teenagers at my years will normally have a most increase since we are continually staring at the TV, playing computers furthermore reading. My 8 week old kitten recently had conjunctivitis and I had to take her into the vet. He prescribed a small tube of medication that I had to apply to her eye daily. She was better within a day or two.

You or your brother-in-law need to take the kitten to a vet right away. A kitten that young needs special attention & needs to be completely checked out. The vet will tell you how to care for any eye problems the kitten may have. Good luck.
