My cat will only eat dry cat food. She wont touch canned cat food or people food. Is she getting all the nutrients she needs from dry cat food alone? If not, how can I get her to try something new?

My friend found this kitten in the bushes outside of her window and she couldnt keep it so 2 days later, she gave it to me.
I took it to Petco and got all the stuff i needed. I feed her every 4-6 hours, burp her, take a warm washcloth and wipe her to get her to go pee, but she hasnt pooped yet. Should i be worried? are they supposed to poop at this age?
im worried....

I have 2 black short haired cat. Within the past month or so I have noticed little bumps almost like bites toward the back around the tail area, neck - almost like clusters...I tried to really look at them - som e just look like a zit and some have scabs. This cannot be confortable for my cats. They are indoor cats so have no flee collars...but we also have a dog that goes in and out. Think feel collars would do the trick or is there really something wrong?

My mom's cat keeps constantly peeing on her bed covers. My mom can wash her covers and the cat waits until my mom's head is turned and goes and piddles on them. She will even pee on them when my mom is in the bed. She doesn't poop on the bed, she is kind enough to use the litter box for that. What can be done about this? She isn't spayed. Does anyone think that will help? Even the other night she climbed up on my mom's hip and piddled there. If you have any suggestions please feel free to post them. Thanks!

You see my Aunt was walking by our house looking at plants and looked under the house and saw two kittens. They look about 5 weeks old. We have tried everything and they just won't come out.

Our beloved cat was put to sleep this morning. He was old with kidney failure, but SO loved. He had a great life, never neglected, never in pain, always carried about, always purring, always totally thoroughly spoilt ... the life of Reilly. Now he's gone for good. A great big male marmalade cat..
Somebody said to me not to get another cat because when they go they give you such heartache (true) and another friend said, Go out and get another one, because for years they give you such a lot of pleasure. What would be your advice?

we have a 7 month old male kitten and he will eat anything!!! He always acts as though he is really hungry, but he is getting the daily recommended amount of food for his age. He pesters throughout the day and night for food! even when we give in and feed him a little bit extra, he still wants more! We are pretty sure that he hasnt got worms as there are no signs of them in his poo, or around his bum... He even pesters us for food off our plates at meal times... he would eat anything in site given the chance! He even tries to go through the bin to get something! He is not overweight at all, and otherwise is a healthy kitten... HELP!!!

He has moments where he is alert he has muscle spasms. The vet said to wait 72 hrs and see if he can get better. Do you really think there is a chance. Does anyone know neurologically can it correct itself and the kitten have quality of life. I am torn Do i give him a chance or do I let him go. The vet will be back monday and she said to come in then with him. Please help I am lost. Thank you Tammy

Stan came in last night minus his collar and limping slightly. I couldn't see anything wrong, he was eating and chasing our other cat around but this morning there is an open wound on his leg which I think must have been an abcess. He hadn't shown any signs of having one. Should I leave it alone to heal or use warm salt water? Vets aren't open till Monday and as he's eating/drinking OK and beginning to put his weight properly on it I want to try and avoid a large unnecessary bill also, he's a very nervous cat and I don't want to put added strain on him if it can be avoided. Any advice?

I have a cat who is about 17, she has always been a thin cat. She throws up nearly everyday, I just can't get her to stop. I feed her canned food, nearly a full can or more just for her each day. I leave out dry food for my other two cats, she eats that sometimes and I think it is too rich for her. She has lot some teeth over the years, so I think is hard for her to chew it a lot but eats her canned food just fine. We give her just a spoonful at a time of canned because she will only lick the gravy off and throw up if we put down most of the can at once, but we give it to her about every couple of hours. At night we pick up the dry and leave out just a small amount of canned for her. But she still throws up nearly everyday. We have tried giving her yogurt for the cultures in it but she doesn't like dairy. My mom suggested getting food grade aloe vera from the health food store and adding it to her food.

We have a new kitten who's been in the house for 3 weeks. He keeps chasing our older cat (male 12 years). Sometimes, when the older one gets annoyed, he sits on the kittens head and licks him all over. It looks really weird! I'm worried that he'll smother the kitten, but I don't want to interfere in any normal cat interactions. Maybe the older one is trying to make younger one smell like he does for some bizarre reason? Or clean him in a parental way (he's NOT his parent)..?

Any thoughts gratefully received!

Our cat came home a couple of nights ago. Her hair is all messed up and her eyes are all red and bloody. She is foaming at the mouth and making horrible noises.

We let her sleep with the kids, she bit both of them that night and now they are running around the house with diarrhea and foaming at the mouth. They seem to be speaking in tounges.

Do you think they are now zombies and must be killed? Or was it just a good old fashioned case of rabies, which i think can be cured with a dose of cod liver oil?
