My friend found this kitten in the bushes outside of her window and she couldnt keep it so 2 days later, she gave it to me.
I took it to Petco and got all the stuff i needed. I feed her every 4-6 hours, burp her, take a warm washcloth and wipe her to get her to go pee, but she hasnt pooped yet. Should i be worried? are they supposed to poop at this age?
im worried....

Yes, they still need to be stimulated at this age. If she is drinking plenty of kitten milk, she should poop soon. You can hold her rear under running warm water and gently massage with a cotton ball to stimulate. It may take a few minutes. Do this after every meal. Kittens can become constipated if they are dehyrated. A normal stool should look like yellow/brown cottage cheese. Not too dry, not liquidy.

Kittens do poop at this age, but they do not poop every day. At this age, kittens poop every second or third day. Just keep using the washcloth like you are to stimulate her to pee and she should poop in a day or two. If it has been a week without any bowel movements, then please take her to your local vets for a check up.
Also she should be wormed every 2 weeks until she is 12 weeks old with a good quality liquid kitten wormer.

Have you tried the warm washcloth at that area too because the mother cat stimulates that area too, if you have and nothing is happening call a vet and ask they can tell your for sure when the bowls are so post to start working.

Try using the warm washcloth to wipe her belly and behind, this reproduces the feeling they get from being licked by their mothers and will generally stimulate a bowel movement. If this doesn't work, then take it to your vet and have them take a look at it. It's too young for vaccines, but I'd be willing to bet that it's full of worms.

Dont worry my kittens did not poop until i put them on kitten chow. Its very normal. By the way its so good of you to take in this kitten=) When it is about four weeks get some kitten chow and add water to it to make it soggy and let the kitten eat it. he/she will start to poop then=)

She probably will not poop until week 5 maybe later. She is not taking solids to need to poop!

It's mother would stimulate it's anus. Seriously. You could do so with a warm moist cloth.

Edit: Why did someone give me a "thumbs down"? Other people said the same thing and didn't get a thumbs down.

I guess someone thought I was full of it.... until they saw so many other people giving the same advice.
