Do you get the cat's teeth cleaned? If not, it's time to start. It's generally recommended annually.
Are you feeding a high quality food? If not, it's time to switch to something like Innova Evo, Blue Buffalo, or a similar brand. Please note that Purina, Pedigree, Iams, Science Diet, Nutro, and similar brands are not high quality.
Does he have other medical conditions that might be contributing to this? If so, discuss with your vet the best options.
Has the cat had a recent FULL vet exam recently? If not, he should have one that includes looking at the teeth. This will remove the possibility that it is something stuck in his teeth, a rotting tooth, or a similar medical problem.
Cat treats like Greenies are expensive as they frequently recommend using 10-18 of them a day. Be sure to read labels fully to see what the recommended 'dosage' is.

Pretty much everything they eat is some type of meat flavor. I've heard of dog mints. They're just little strips you give them. But just let your cat's breath be. It's a small mouth so it's not like she is panting with toungue out and everything all the time like a dog does. Just keep away from its face when it yawns or something. Yeah. Smells fishy and rotten, I know. Makes you want to gag, or sometimes you do lol. But cats keep their mouth closed all the time so you don't really have to worry about the room smelling like it or something. Yucky.

How about getting the cat's teeth cleaned? We take our cats periodically for dental cleaning. The gums stay in much better shape and the cats retain their teeth longer. Cleaning also makes the breath smell much better.

If you live in Australia I have seen cat lollies at Pets Paradise. they may have been mints but i can't remember for sure. they are in a little pink tin and the last time I saw them they were on the front counter at one store but with all the cat treats and toys at another. It may be worth a try. Maybe ask when you go in....

The best thing to give your cat is a trip to the vet, who can determine whether your cat's bad breath is caused by dental problems or disease.

have you heard of the "greenies" brand of dog breath chews?
they also make greenies brand chews for cats with bad breath that you can buy from most any pet store like: petsmart, petco, or petland
you could also try a dental toy for your cat to chew on and keep their teeth and gums clean-try this website link for a great dental hygiene toy:
http://www.thatpetplace.com/pet/group/12731/product.web
this toy allows you to put catnip in it to attract the cat or leave it empty-your cat can chew on it and keep his teeth clean which will improve his bad breath

You may want to take your cat to the vet and have her teeth cleaned. It's just as important to have cat's teeth cleaned as dogs. Your cat may have an infection, bad tooth, gums. That may be what you need to do...Best of luck;^)

Stop feeding it. Bad breath? Is your cat panting? That's definitely not good. You should see your vet fast.

there are treats you can feed that have breath control.
Depending on age it could also be a bad tooth. Might want to get that checked out.
