My Husband had a cat like that, there really was something wrong with her, she attacked anyone who tried to get near her. What I did was tell everyone to stay away from her and I would go lay down on the floor about five feet away, and do nothing, after a few weeks I got a little closer, and started talking sweet to her, softly! It took about three months of this everyday before she would let me put my hand near her, not touch her, just near her, after another month I was able to just touch her, not pet but just touch her paw. After around six months I could pet her. She stayed nervous, but did not attack anymore. Her name was Boogie, like the boogie man! She was retarded or something wasn't right in her head but we loved her anyway. Just leave yours alone an quit trying to force it, it will calm down, cats are funny, they hate being controlled or forced or loud voices! Maybe it just doesn't like the way you handle it. We have 40. yes 40 cats. I should say they have us, because thats the truth of it. Just leave poor kitty alone!!! Make sure it has fresh food and water and clean litter, say hello to it and go away! Ignore it otherwise, it may start coming to you after a bit, if it wants too! try to figure out what it is about you it doesn't like maybe your voice is too loud or shrill, and do not pick it up and force it to be petted, have you ever seen the cartoon Animaniacs? Maybe it thinks you are like Elmira!!

Call the Vet and ask for a tranquilizer to calm the cat down so you can put him in the carrier to go to the Vet. If this is not his normal behavior he may have eaten something he shouldn't have. I don't know if he is an indoor/outdoor cat so I wouldn't know what the problem may be. Only the Vet can run tests for that.

Get a split top loading plastic tote twice the size of the cat. Secure the cat's paws before lowering him in the tote. Have tape sext to the tote. Tape the doors shut enough to provent escape, but still allowing for air. (I did this when I had to get my 20 pound 29 toed cat fixed.) The Vet said that this was perfectly acceptable and not cruel. Don't just get the toes done, but also fix the cat this will calm him, and get him tested for distemper.

The Enemy rarely posses animals if there is a nice juicy human nearby to nibble on.

All canines are neurotic. All cats are psychotic. this is only the way existence is. in case you are able to no longer post with their unusual habit characteristics, you mustn't have a puppy. as quickly as we take animals from the wild, attempt to tame them and assume them to stay by way of our rules, they frequently start up as an occasion extraordinary behaviors. It appears like your cat is barely one in all individuals who're somewhat extra odd than others. perhaps it became led to by way of some thing you have achieved in the previous. perhaps it became some thing somebody else did. perhaps this is only a psychotic cat. It would not sound such as you're a real cat guy or woman, perhaps it may be solid which you would be able to take your cat to the shield.

You need to have a vet see it. Call your vet and see if they can come to your house if you can't get it out of the house. At least call and ask what to do. You shouldn't have to suffer with it clawing you.

Assuming this is new behavior: try giving him a little space until he calms down. (If you were feeling moody, would you want someone fallowing you around?)

If this isn't new: you've just got a very wild cat. Try giving him toys to play with - interactive ones might be best.

As for eating bugs: cats like bugs, they make good prey. My cat loves to hunt for grasshoppers and spiders.

wow, sounds like rabies or some type of mental problem if your cat has suddenly turned viscious. Ask the Dr. for a sedative and give it to the kitty, then take the cat to the vet once the sedative kicks in. Call your vet and ask them how to coordinate this so you can drug the kitty and then take him asap.

Get one of those portable pet carriers and take it to the vet. Stop being a push over and take control. Only a moggy.

Then you should try calling the vet and......well, was your relation good in the past? Your cat could've eaten something he/she wasn't supposed to and that could cause it. He/she could have a very upset stomach. I don't know much about cats, but I hope yours gets de-possesed! :)

Hmmmm....maybe it isn't the cat who is possessed by demons? Maybe the cat can sense evil in you. Tell me...have you ever walked into a church and burst into flames? Have you ever gotten burned when touching a cross? Something to think about....
