About 6 months ago, some tenants moved & left their cat behind. She was alone there for 3 weeks! We took her in...Now, some people across the street moved Tuesday & I just looked out to see the weather & their cat is in THEIR window. (the unit is padlocked from the outside) I already have 4 cats. Who do I call? The police? I have no idea who the landlord there is...

I have a 14 year old tabby and she has lost so much weight. She broke her paw 2 years ago and slowly lost weight. She does have alot of energy though. She loves drinking water, but cannot tell if she is eating. I was thinking of locking her in bedroom with some food. I have 2 other cats also, so that is why I cannot tell if she is eating. I bet she weighs no more than 5-6 lbs. Any responses would be appreciated.

I found my 16 year old cat outside the other night by the curb. She was cold but alive. She might of been there for a couple of hours. There was no blood, as my first thought was she had been run over. I called the vet, he checked her over to see if there was any broken bones, there wasn't. He gave her injections for internal haemoraging. pain and antibiotic. This was the night before last. Yesterday we found a small hole on her shoulder, just above one of her front legs. (Not on her leg but in that direction just below her neck). This lead me to the conclusion of her been shot with a pellet rifle.

The problem is even though she is eating fine, she doesnt seem to be able to move her back legs. She cannot stand up or move her tail. There lifeless. Initially we thought it was because she was in shock, or just badly bruised. I am hoping this still is the case. But if not does anyone know if there is anything else I can do?

My cat has recently been spayed (about 13 days ago). Her external stitches were removed two days ago.

So, I am wondering how much longer (if at all) I have to wait to bathe my cat who has recently been spayed. I understand that she has internal sutures, so my guess would be that I may have to wait until those are healed? If so, how will I know that they are healed? (I was hoping to be able to bathe and spray tomorrow Apr 12)

Unfortunately, the fleas are becoming unbearable , so I want to treat my room with flea and tick spray tomorrow, and while the spray is drying, I want to bathe my cats to make sure that most of the fleas, if not all, will be gone. I hate to see my cats in misery, and I can't stand being bitten by fleas.

I wanted to spray my room and bathe my cats before getting any preventative medication to see how much I can get rid of before spending a ton of money on medication (which I may get next week or so - the fleas are just bothering all of us).

Ok see this is my second pregnant cat, but my first one I had like seven months before she got pregnant and this one I only had for like four days. Anyway she has a respatory sickness going on, she is over five weeks pregnant I think, she doesn't like my male newder cats (from my first cat), which by the way kinda is afraid of her, she is like almost a year old, and this is her third litter. Her first litter died from stravation, but her second litter she had five kittens, two still stay at the house we got her from but are a little bit wild, the other two are either dead or is roming the woods from the nearby house, and the last one died because the mom of the cat that I have now was carring it and droped it so much it couldn't use its backlegs, so they had to put it down. Anyway would anyone please give me a great website for pregnant cats, kittens, or anything else that can help me out?

Okay so about 6 months ago we took in a homeless white cat. I thought it would be cool and our other cats would just deal with him and learn to tolerate him....well...that really has not happened. White cat (thats his name or Arctic) is a big boy now and likes to start fights. I now have to keep my little baby girl cat in my room because he likes to lunge and attack her when he can. He also does the lunge deal with our cat Orangie. I think it may have to do with the fact that Orangie has no claws in the front so may be its a territorial / man cat thing? Our last cat Lucky tolerates Arctic, but hisses whenever he is by him. Whats weird is that before Arctic, we took in Orangie because he too was a stray cat. Piper (my baby girl) instantly took him in as her "boyfriend" and Lucky tolerates him as well. Its just with Artcic (whew wee) tension everywhere. Whats the deal with this cat and will things get better because Piper is terrified of him. What do I do?

My indoor cat is catching her claws on the material she toches and makes a clickity-clack noise when walking. Are her claws too long? Should I cut them? How would I cut them? I don't want to hurt or impair her activities. Should I go to a professional? Who? Lots of questions here, any help will be appreciated!

I have 4 cats, they have been eating Alley Cat dry cat food. I tried looking on the internet for which cat foods are safe, but it's so confusing. Does anyone know if Alley Cat is safe, or not?

My mom ran over my kitten's paw with the car. She has been giving her Infant Tylenol to ease the pain. Then she heard it was bad for them. Is this true?

Just wondering what should be the basics for new kittens...I'm adopting them from a co-worker and they haven't had their shots yet...what type of kitty litter, a good brand of kitten food, and the first trip to the vet should be....(it's been a long time since I've had a kitten so it's good to have reminders)

This is similar to sparklegirljazz's question, but my cat has been acting like a dog lately. She will eat dogfood occaisionally, and she meows at the back door. We also have a dog in the house, and sometimes, we let her outside for like 5 mins, but only under supervision. IS this normal for cats to be acting so strangley? Thanks, M

Please provide any diagnosis and possible treatments.

My 7 year old male neutered cat has been under the weather for at least a week now.

He drools (clear, like mucous) a lot. (He use to seem to only drool when happily relaxed around me, but now this is much of the time (when I see him, anyway).)

He seems to have low body temperature (cold feet, arms, legs, ears). He cuddles seemingly to try to keep warm.

I also see some hair loss on the outer side and top areas of his ears.

He is definitely losing weight, but he eats (I see him eat sometimes;still eats treats & jumps on counters to get foods, too).

His hair is still nice, but doesn't look as good....and the fur on the back of his hind legs looks kind of oily/greasy... kind of wet looking, but it isn't. Not sure if my other cats are doing the grooming for him or not.

Other than those symptoms, I am not aware of others. I have not taken his temperature nor other vitals.

Can I help him? Homeopathic remedies?

My black and white female cat likes to roll in the dust. She will coat herself with it.
I have wondered if she was trying to camoflage herself, cover up the white. My neighbor says that cat's do it to get rid of fleas, but the cat does it during cold weather, when there are no fleas. She coated herself last saturday and I gave her a bath in the sink. She was covered in dust again by sunday afternoon. I can't give a cat a bath everyday. What can I do to stop this? She can't be an indoor only cat.

Hi;

I have a question, I wonder if someone might know about. I have two kittens. One is 10 months and one is 6 months. The older one just had her first estrus cycle (heat) and it lasted about 3 days, and she's just fine now. The little one, who is still very much kitten looking, seems as if she might be having an estrus cycle too.

Is it common for kittens to have an estrus at 6 months old? And is it common for them to have them together? Does one stimulate the other?

Thanks

I have two cats who are about 9 years old and we got a 4-month old golden retriever about 4 weeks ago. When will my cats stop hissing and running away from the puppy? Any suggestions on how to make my cats more comfortable with the puppy?

I bought my cat a laser, and it played to catch the red dot for a while. It was enjoying it. My roomate pointed the laser in circles in her face for a slight instant. It became very scared of the laser dot and when i tried to calm her down by petting her, it scratched me (deep deep scratch). i slapped the cat across the face as a first reaction. and I put her in the bathroom as I cleaned the blood from the scratch. She has always been scared of the bathroom. Now she is terrified of the bed on which she played with the laser, she is terified of the laser and she is terrified of me. She was very agitated that night and hid all night under my bed, she still hides a lot (comes out to eat only). How can I make it up to her for my mistake. Will she ever forgive me. I love her and I am sorry, How do I make her know that and get her to act normal again and sleep on my bed nex to me like she did b4? Besides I was very scared she might have a heart attack (she is 8 years old)

she keeps on meowing a lot too, at the same time kneading her paws and would roll on the floor whenever someone goes near her.
