The same as any species of feline - 18, five on each front foot, four on each back foot.

Unless you talk to someone who's had their cat declawed - in which case, possibly none. Don't get me started.

Five on each front paw = that makes ten claws in the front
Four on each back foot = that makes eight at the back

TOTAL = 18 claws

If you have polydactyl cat (a cat with extra toes), there will be more claws of course.

most cats have 18: 5 on each front paw, and 4 on each back paw. The exception is polydactyl cats, who have extra toes with extra claws, in varying numbers.

Eighteen is correct. As for imcold, on occasion a cat will have 6 toes on the front paws. It is caused by familial interbreeding. We had one once...black Angora. Nasty cat. Worst personality of any cat we ever had.

theyre supposed to have 5 on each front foot and 4 on each hind foot. a lot of cats have more than that though. i forget the term...but i think its creepy when a cat has 8 toes on each paw.
