The weather could have something to do with it, however and you didnt state this in your question, but if she is hiding and acting irritable, she could be in heat, which effects the appitite as well. If the behavior continues for more that a few days I would attempt to stray away from normal cat food and do maybe some chicken and rice or shrimp. IF she is still not eating then a vet is necessary. If your cat is a boy, you may want to go to the vet, and check the poo of your animal. If the last poo looks abnormal, such as runny or discoloured it may be an infection and he/she may need meds.

Cats still eat no matter how much the weather changes. They adapt to heat. If it has been a day or two since the cat has eaten I would take it into the vet to have it checked out. Sounds like it is something other than heat.

Yes, the weather could be the cause but I wouldn't ber sure about it. Is your cat drinking? Perhaps he has eaten some food somewhere else?. Anyhow cats are prone to anorexia (absence of apetite not to be mistaken to the human anorexia nervosa). This means when they stop eating it cant be difficult to get them started again. Try tempting it with tuna and sardines and cooked chicken. If your cat has not started eating bits in a day then book an appointment to see your vet. Do not wait more than 24 hours, or if you have other symptoms book in sooner.

I doubt if the hot weather could impact a cat's appetite that much... althouh, can't rule it out More likely, your cat has gone "off" his food. He may have eaten a stale batch earlier and remembers it. Offer him something else and see if he will eat that (bearing in mind the pet food recall ist!). When my cats turn up their noses on a food they've been eating before, I just offer them something in a different flavor or in a flavor I know they will like. If they still won't eat, then I worry and take them to the vet. Usually, they eat the new food. Like us, cats can also et tired of eating the same stuff day in and day out.

The weather may have something to do with it. Make sure she/he has plenty to drink and keep offering dry food. Cats loose their winter fur in warm weather so it may of swallowed some of its fur which is known as fur balls, this may also be the cause. If the cat is a she is there any chance she may be pregnant? Id advice you to take her to vets if she has not ate anything by saturday. Like i said keep offering food and plenty of water. Good luck and let us know how she gets on!!!!

When was the last time your cat ate? Get your cat to the vet - today! Cats need to eat regularly otherwise they can develop hepatic lipidosis and it can kill them. But more importantly, there has been a pet food recall and if your cat ate any one of the multiple brands listed in the recall, he or she could be going into kidney failure.

Hours mean the difference between life and death when it is acute kidney failure. You'd better call your vet right now and see if you can get in. Or check with an emergency vet place. MOVE!

Hot weather does not cause a cat to stop eating altogether. If s/he has eaten nothing for over 24 hours, get it to a vet. Any other signs of ill health? Please get the cat checked before other signs appear!
