I have two cats ive had them both for about 2 years now and i got them about the same time. I love them and they keep me great company but now im having a baby and the babys father wants to get rid of one of them due to the amount of hair and upkeep two are. I plan on giving one of them (the girl) to a nice family but im wondering if the boy cat will miss her? am i being silly or will there be a significant change with my cat? Also since im concerned about minimizing the amount of hair around the newborn, any suggestions on the best way to keep it to a minimum?

I have two neighbors, with convertables here in South Florida. Stray cats keep crawling up under the covers and hanging out. I guess they are doing some damage because my neighbors are really angry. I want to find out if anyone has an answer, rather than seeing the cats come to a dreadful demise.

My cat's name is Yogi, he is a real brat. Ever since he was little (2 weeks), he always spit, smacked, slapped, bit, or attacked someone if he got angry. I want him to be happy, but I'm the only person he will let near him. He purrs when I pet him, but when someone else pets him, he turns into the "Devil's Son". But I still love him, i just want him to be nicer. We also have 2 other cats at home, and 2 dogs. Yogi also attacks the animals. He is sooo big, that he is bigger than both of my dogs. His teeth stick out of his mouth they're so long, and he looks like a vampire. Can you tell me if he looks like a brat? Or even evil? I'll email you a picture of him, too. Please give me your email address, and ill get back with you as soon as possible. Thanks for your time and help.

I left my cat alone for 2 minutes in my roome nd wen i came back there was bits of fur on the floor and specks of blood on the bookcase. the blood seems to be coming from his ear, its not running out of his ear, and there are no longer any specks coming out when he shakes his head. his does not seem to be in any pain at all and is purring and following me about the house like usual, but i am very very worried. please help.

My cat had kittens yesterday and after we got her back from the vet, she started leaving the kittens and looking around the house. I know that kittens can not regulate their body tempuratures and need to feed atleast every 4 hours. But it momma gets up to walk around or is restless, how long before we have to put her back in the nursery?

My next door neighbors have a cat they don't take care of. It's scrawny and their dogs attack it if it goes in their yard. It's always outside, even when it's snowing heavily-I see it mewing at the door, and no one lets it in...
Not to mention that it keeps coming into my yard, and peeing. My dog has chased after it, and I am afraid that they will run into the road before I can stop them, or my dog will hurt the cat.
The owner refuses to see that there is a problem-I've talked to him. Animal Control says I should put Pinesol on the trash or the property borderline so when it comes and smells it, it will go away.
But I'm also concerned about the cat itself-can I bring it to an Animal Shelter, or is that illegal? I want to help the cat!

Last night my 6 month old kitten, wouldn't stop meowing at my bedroom door. It started at 2 am, and when I let her in, she was acting really weird, and was meowing really loud, even though she was on the bed. Then I let her out, and she continued, and I bearly got any sleep. My other cat which if 4 years old, didn't make a sound or seem affected. Weird? Has this happened to anybody else. Should I be worried that it's something else?

My cat gave birth to 5 beautiful healthy kittens. We brought her and the kittens to the vet this morning because we were worried that she might have still had one inside her because we felt one more bump. Well, turns out she was all done giving birth and we were feeling food in her belly because she ate right before giving birth, which is rare.

Now, ever since we got her home from the quick vet visit, she has been getting up from her kittens, pacing, and then going to back them like she i looking for a lost kitten but they are all there! and none are still born. She only relaxes when me or my fiance goes into the room with her. Is it possible that she just wants us close by to help her out or comfort her? Has anyone had this happen before?

P.s. I'm sure there was 5 kittens, i was there for every birth and not one was still born so shes not looking for that/.

My husband took my 2 siamese cats to the vet today b/c of black speckly almost looks like dirt under the chin. I thought maybe it was flea poop or some kind of bug. The vet said it was cat acne and it wasnt fleas or bugs....just acne. Has anyone ever heard of this? Ive never heard of it and was wondering if I should get a 2nd opinion. Thanks.

My kitty is adult 5 year old female. Within the past year she has been pooping and peeing on the carpet. We have tried everything. We got an extra litter box, tried every spray out there, shampooed the carpets - everything! Finally we called an agency that takes good care of pets (better then humane society) and told them we needed to get rid of our cat.
But they told us to try out this little bottle of liquid that plugs into your outlet thats suppose to help with kitty stress and that it works on 95% of cats, but of course my cat had to be the 5 percent....

I don't know what to do. I love my kitty I don't want her to see her go. I understand ruining our carpet is a big deal but u wouldn't get rid of your 5 year old son if he still pottied in his pants would you? I begged and cried to have her when I was 11 years old, now 5 years later I will cry to see her leave.... :(
