She has mats on he back and they're really bad. I took a mat breaker to them and fixed it all up but a few days later, they were coming back! She always makes the other cats groom her and she never does it herself. This may be because I found her outside(we live on a farm) and took care of her because her mom is irresponsible. Any suggestions? I think I'll give her a bath, but she's super skittish and its going to hurt.

A cat died and went to Heaven. God met her at the gates and said, "You have been a good cat all these years. Anything you want is yours for the asking."

The cat thought for a minute and then said, "All my life I lived on a farm and slept on hard wooden floors. I would like a real fluffy pillow to sleep on."

God said, "Say no more." Instantly the cat had a huge fluffy pillow.

A few days later, six mice were killed in an accident and they all went to Heaven together. God met the mice at the gates with the same offer that He made to the cat.

The mice said, "Well, we have had to run all of our lives: from cats, dogs, and even people with brooms! If we could just have some little roller skates, we would not have to run again."

God answered, "It is done." All the mice had beautiful little roller skates.

About a week later, God decided to check on the cat. He found her sound asleep on her fluffy pillow. God gently awakened the cat and asked, "Is everything okay? How have you been doing? Are you happy?"

The cat replied, "Oh, it is WONDERFUL. I have never been so happy in my life. The pillow is so fluffy, and those little Meals on Wheels you have been sending over are delicious!"

The other night, my cat slept in her litter box the entire night. Why is that? And sometimes she will go in her litter box, but she doesn't have to use the bathroom, she just moves the litter around. Is she just redecorating or what?

I have the most lovely fluffy kitten, but i have a problem with poo being stuck to his fur, and it really smells.
I got in from the gym this morning and it looks like he has trod in his poo and walked it all through my house.
How can i stop this from happening? i have tried trimming it but it still finds a place to stick to.
Can i bath him? if so is there a special shampoo for kittens?
Pease help!

We live in the country and our cat has had 1litter. We have kept a young tom. We are going to have her speyed. She went out yesterday and has not ben seen since (normally comes home at dusk). There are foxes around, but I think she is fit enough to stay clear.
I have a suspicion she is coming into season as there has been a tom around.
Is it likely she has gone off with him, and if so, how long is she likely to be gone for?

Dear all cat experts at Yahoo!Answers : One of my cats had a vaccination against rabbies (5weeks ago) and then a blood test (a few days ago). (To be able to travel within the EU with the pet passport for holidays.)

A couple of days after the blood, test a bald patch appeared on the right size of his neck, under the jaw line. I thought it might be where the veterinary took the sample.

But know the dime sized bald patch has increased to an area 2 inches in diameter. It is not red, does not look infected.
The cat doesn't scratch it, eats, sleeps and plays normally.

I've removed his collar when I noticed the patch but I'm positive it wasn't there 2 days ago.

I'm worried and i'm taking him back to the vet today. Any views advice helpful too. Thanks.

Trouble is, We live on the 1st floor and we are moving up the 6th floor, and my cat is not allowed inside because he sheds alot of hair and he perfers to live outside. I am not comfortable with my cat living down stairs because he gets chased and attacked by other cats, and he is not allowed to live inside. Any Ideas?

We have a 3 year old cat that has a heart murmur and we want to get her spayed. She is in heat right now and is trying to get outside so bad. We took her to the vet a couple years ago to get her fixed and thats when we found out she had a heart murmur and the veterinarian said on a scale from 1 to 6 shes about a 3. We have 4 other cats besides her and they are all fixed and are outdoor cats and we are always letting them in and out and seeing that I have one that cant go out its very hard to keep her in when she is in heat. Anyways the veterinarian said that it would be risky to get her spayed because she might not wake up from anesthesia because of her heart murmur. Does anyone know what the risks are? I know she would be a lot happier if she got spayed, that way I could let her out like the other cats and she wouldn't have to stay inside all the time.

and I didn't give enough info. To some of the answers, I don't give her attention when she does this, and she eats anytime she wants. She just wanders around the house meowing for ten minutes around 12:30 am. One night several years ago she started meowing for her kittens I had given away that day. Is it possible she is still looking for her kittens after seven years? Also, we have moved four times, so we're not even in the same place for her to have any association of her kittens. Yet, she has done this in every place.

Today I found a cut on my cats tail.Upon a closer look I see somthing that looks like fishing string comming from the cut.I gently pull it and it starts to come out and then stops.I see another end of what looks like the same thing and gently pul it and it slids also.I call my friend who is a nurse and ask her if she has any clue what this could be.(she and her sister live on the same road I do,its a private country road)She tell me her sister who lives next to ma had been fishing and left the poles out and maybe the cat had gotton caught in one.So I look at her wound again and see a small hole on the other isde of her tail and it looks to be as that is what happened. So my fiance comes in and we slightly pul on one end,its slides out easily and is about 4in long. The other seems to be stuck.Im talking her to the vet tomorrow, but I want to know could this be a nerve we are pulling? My cat doesnt seem to care while we are messing with it,but all our cats are very laied back as it is.

My 1 year old tortoise shell cat is always getting a dirty chin. (Her chin is white, so it is very noticeable) - she is an inside cat. It seems to be particles of dirt or food creating a very dirty patch under her chin. any ideas why? or suggestions to help stop this?
