I was walking around my house with sneakers on that were making a noise and my cat was flipping out! My cat went NUTS! Every time I walked he ran like a nut! So i went in the bathroom and he was hiding in there. All of a sudden he started jumping in the air, running around the bathroom and actually climbing the walls! Whats wrong with him??? by the way he's a 6 month old kitten

It's probably a new scary noise. Either that or the squeaking was so high pitched that it was annoying him.

He is frightened by the sneakers and the noise they make... new noises often alarm young cats. When you walk around in those sneakers, do not attempt to approach the kitten... let him first get used to the odd sound and figure out for himslef that it is not a harbinger of danger or prelude to something terrible.

Cats are funny little devils aren't they. Your kitty might've either had a burst of energy or he really is scared of the sound your sneakers make. Walk around in them again on a different day (when he's relaxing) and see if he freaks out again. If he does that mean that he's scared of that sound. If he doesn't, it means that he's just a hyper youngster and he'll settle down when he's older. Play with him, cats do the funniest things when they're in a hyper mood. May I suggest a laser pointer.
If he is scared don't torment him because that's mean and he won't grow up to be as nice.

Kittens just get a lil over hyper over things.
They are afterall, Kittens.
Those hyper activeness traits will usually go off after they turn one year old.

My kitten goes haywire as well, making lots of discontented noise when she sees my Hamster running arnd freely.

Your eather freaking the poor thing out or its trying to play.
Some cats go bonkers when they want to play.
Take the shoes off and grab a shoe lace that should solve the problem

how is it that your kitten has put up with the sneakers for 6 months?
dont wear your sneakers while indoors. see what happens.

it might also be that you've brought in a new threatening odor after being outdoors.

Those sneakers were making a squeak that you couldn't hear which drove the cat bonkers.

Get a new pair of sneakers, dude!

I don't think he's nuts I just think he was stimulated by the sound and got playful. My cat does that when we are home at a time we usually aren't . He's just trying to get your attention.

He's just playing. Maybe try to use a feather on a string to play with him and wear different shoes in the house.
