I wrote a song today on an organ and was groovin' along until my cat had entered the room meowing at the top of his tiny little lungs. I kept playing, and to my amazement the cat started meowing on beat with the song and rubbing his head on the corner of the organ. I play instruments all the time and never had gotten a reaction like that... anyone know why he was meowing like that?

My cat had a litter of kittens about 5 days ago. I was wondering, if she got out of the house could she get pregnant again right way?
I need to get her spayed but cant right now because her kittens need her at home with them obviuosly. She prefers to potty outside. I have a doggie door and she goes outside and comes right back in to her babies. Also, I cant close the doggie door because my 2 dogs are potty trained to go out the door. They dont tell me when they need out because they are used to just having their own way out.

Does anyone know of a UK pet insurer that isnt a rip off? Because my cat was 16, I had to pay the vet call-out charge and his cremation fees, because it appears that the company doesnt cover cats over 8 years old.......so why did they keep taking my money then??? They also refused to pay for dental work for my six-year old cat. Are thay all rip-off merchants?? I've cancelled my policies now- how do they get away with this scam??

I went looking for him and eventually did find him, he was lying on the side walk . I thought if cats are hit and hurt they run off to hide. I had my 8 yr old daughter with me so I didn't want to get her even more upset. Do you think he is dead? I feel terrible about this.

My 16 yr old abassian mix is losing fur in clumps. It can't be fleas or worms, we've treated him. The patch of baldness isn't red and it doesn't have scabs at the root either. he goes outdoors sometimes during the day. THis hasn't happend before. He is eating and drinking like normal and I haven't changed his diet. What should I do? besides taking him to the vet....

I have a white cat who is deaf and has always been deaf. Recently he has had dramatic weight loss, but a recent visit to the vet told us that he seemed healthy for a 13 year old cat and his blood work came out fine. He usually had one blue eye and a single yellow eye. Now though, both eyes appear to be yellow in pigment. The formely blue eye (now turned yellow-redish) is the eye in question. He doesn't seem to respond to my hand coming at him from the blind side but he responds sometimes, but when he does it is more like "whoah where did that come from?" as I think his other eye picks it up or I nudge one of his eye whisker things. I don't think there are any "vision tests" for cats that I can do, are there any physical signs I could look for? or I am best off taking him to a vet. Its only been a few days like this, should I wait to see if it just blows over? I am pretty sure he has a history of pinkeye, but I may be confusing him with one of my other cats.
Thanks for any help,
Zach

My vet and other pet sources said it is ok to put the dog size revolution on my many cats and 1 dog, that I just need to put the right amount on each. Does anyone know about how many cc's per 5lbs of cat (and dog)? I have a 1cc dropper my vet gave me, but I'm not sure how much each should get.
If it helps I was told to give 6ml per 1 kg (2.2lbs), but I don't know how to calculate that to cc's. Thanks

My cat is 10 years old, and her original colour is smokey blue, with white under her belly, but lately her back has been turning kind of a light red colour, it's really pretty, but I don't know why she's changing colours! She's an indoor cat if that has anything to do with it.

I have a 12 yr old spayed female who has been on Feline WD most of her life because of recurring urinary problems. She's actually only had a few recurrances. Just yesterday she was in obvious pain, and moving like something in her back end hurt. Rushed her off to the vet. All test came back fairly normal. when they expressed urine from her, it was totally clear, with no odor. Odd for a cat. Renal tests were ok, thyroid ok. Even white count is ok. He put her on antibiotics, gave her IV fluids over night for dehydration. She's home now, but still in pain. Just lays in her box/bed. She's also lost 4 pounds in the last year. Anyone have any experience with something like this? I've already spent $400 on her. Next up is ultrasound, if the antibiotics don't work. Any ideas?

My cat is being spayed in the morning. I know that it's the right thing to do, but I'm worried because it's a much more major op for a female cat than a male cat. I'm probably just being silly, but is she likely to come through it with no problems? She's in perfect health as far as I know.

Hi there, I hope someone can give me some reassurance or advice. Me and my boyfriend bought two beautiful kittens a week ago who were 8 weeks old, and they don't seem to want anything to do with us. I've read tons of advice regarding socialising cats, I've given them their safe room, I try and play with them daily with interactive toys (they're not interested), we've tried to treat them with roast chicken to get them on our laps and we're literally spending all our time trying to get these kittens to like us, just a little bit. We love animals so much, but we're begining to feel like intruders in our own home, they don't want anything to do with us. When we feed them, they just want the food but will walk off as soon as they've had a bit, and they're not really even interested in anything we have to offer. Is there any hope for these kittens?
