I wrote a song today on an organ and was groovin' along until my cat had entered the room meowing at the top of his tiny little lungs. I kept playing, and to my amazement the cat started meowing on beat with the song and rubbing his head on the corner of the organ. I play instruments all the time and never had gotten a reaction like that... anyone know why he was meowing like that?

for some reason the note you were playing just hit the cat's ears in a certain way. Remember that cats have really good hearing and they hear sounds that we don't. There may be some sound coming from the organ that is above your sound that somehow is exciting your cat. If the cat is meowing on beat and rubbing his head on the organ, I would say that the cat was pretty happy and you shouldn't worry. If I were you, I would continue playing the song and have the cat sing along.

It could be the pitch and tone of the music. Some animals react to the "sound" of the opposite sex of their species as a mating call. It's probable that your cat "enjoy's" the sound. My cat meow's to a specific sound from my pitch pipe. Music hath ways to tame ...... you know the rest.
