Answer was given earlier that if spraying in the house what could the reason be, how to correct it? Thought only male cats do it? I caught my female cat of 3years old spraying in the house. I rubbed her noise gently in it trying to get her to understand that was not to be done in house. How can I prevent her doing that again? I Think she has been doing it before, been unaware of it. Does she just need to urinate or just out of mischief?

i want to get rid of my old cat because i just got 2 new kittens. I was thinking of just letting it go in the woods near my house, maby i will put it to sleep. I also heard that if you neglect it for long enough when you put it outside for long enough it will just leave......that is most likely what i will do...............any suggestions please tell me!!!!!!!!!!

I have two kittens; one if about 14 weeks (Gia) and the other is about 16 weeks (Ly). When I got them I was using an uncovered litter box and they both covered their poop the way they were supposed to. Unfortunately that became too stinky for me to bear and I got a covered air-filtered kitty-box. I clean the box about once every two days and I use an inexpensive litter ($3.00 for a large bag) that looks a bit like gravel. I have used several different litters since adopting them. The problem is when I got the new box my kittens stopped covering their poop, or one of them did...not sure which. Anyways, Ly is a Persian and every time she gets into the box, she comes out with pooey feet and doo-doo stuck to her fur and then she leaves her little pooey pawprints on everything she touches. Gross! Anyways, what is wrong and how can I get them to start covering their business again? Should I switch litters? Do away with the covered box?

she does not eat a lot. she only eats dry food. she does not drink a lot of water either. sometimes she throws up her food. say my friend fills her bowl with food, it will last her a week. i know with my cats it would have been done the same day. the cat also has dry skin. she eats iams if that helps. should this be of great concern?

I was told recently that a female cat can be pregnant by more than one male at once and that is why kittens from the same litter can be such a variety of colours. Is this true and if not, then how come my little girl cat is tawby, the little boy is jet black, one of their sisters was ginger and the other sister was white. Thanks for your help

I have a flea problem, I've bombed the main rooms my pet stayed in, and I am still I am finding fleas on my bed. It's driving me crazy b/c I am alergic to flea bites. I 've bombed three times already chances are I probably go before they do. Is there a chance that the cold weather will kill the fleas outside the house?
Please Help!

wont come out of hiding, has not used her litter box since Saturday morning when we brought her home. Should I notify the APL where she came from? Also did I make a mistake forcing her out of hiding last night? I was going to show her the food & water bowl but, she scratched the snott out of me (drew blood). Does she hate me now?

I push him away and say the stern "no" to him, but he keeps coming back for more!!! What is he going after??? Is there something that my skin has on it that makes him do this?? Usually when this happens, there's no lotion on my hands or anything as such. What's he attracted to???? SOmeone else out there have this problem or is it just me??

I have this cat that is constantly urinating on my front door step. I have tried some smelly repllent pellets but the smell seems to wear off after a week and the cat then comes back again to do its business! Is there anything else that might work to deter this cat for once and for all? I don't want to use the electronic devices as it would probably get nicked from outside my house! Thanks!

We have my mother's cat and she doesn't cough on it, she swallows & swallows until it goes back down. Just petting her will cause her to do this.
My mom is aware of it. We've consistently given her over-the-counter hair ball remedy and it isn't working, the poor kitty.
Would mineral oil or olive oil help? I used to use castor oil on my cat, but she hated it. The only way I know that the vet can help is to surgically cut the kitty.
I know that it's a hair ball and she is being brushed. We've tried two different types of hairball remedy and given more than instructed when it didn't work. I don't think a trip to the vet is going to help.
Any suggestions?

Hi I was taught that cats can't see the TV. And they see only black and white. But my current cat likes to watch the Discovery channel, particularly when birds and ocean critters are featured. Is he seeing the TV for real? I have a large TV set. He is on the edge of his seat and very much engaged. His eyes and face darting wherever the birds are flying. Is it okay to assume he is seeing the TV?
