I bought kitten formula & a kitty bottle, but my kitten didn't allow me to feed her, she won't even open her mouth! :( plzz help. is there a better, easier bottle to use with newborn kitties? anything I should know about this? thnx:)

One more thing, how long does it take for a siamese kitten to get her points? I Know it takes over a year to develope, but for now, how long do I have to wait before anything appears?

N'how many "essential" shots to I have to give my kitten and after how many weeks/months?

thnx alot in advance

My cat keeps biting me! I think he's only playing as he keeps his claws in and doesn't fully bite down but does anyone know how to stop him from doing this?

I've tried spraying him with water when he does it, he stops temporarily but it hasn't permanently stopped him.

My cat oreo, has not been eating for over a week. He's been getting to thin, and when he goes to the bathroom, he only poops a brown thin liquid. Should i take him to the Vet. I've tried to give him treats, and he will only smell it, then turn away. Is that a sign that something is wrong.

i don't think it's the dirty litterbox thing, cause i don't clean it every day anyway. i read somewhere that cats aren't smart enough to issue poop punishment. but i'm not convinced- i really think my cat is either crying out for help, or this is passive-aggressive behavior for being left alone.
second question: how do i make it stop? he is one year old and neutered, if it matters.

i never had a cat that did not clean her(him)self after using the kitty box. why won't my kitten, one year old (spayed) not do this for herself? i use a washcloth on her, but i don't like that since i am afraid that a minute amount of fecal matter might enter her urinary tract, causing an infection. does she need a psychiatrist? LOL... no really, what is wrong with her???

So my kitten had a simple URI, no complications, airways were clear and no temp when the vet measured it but for some reason her nose is very very dry all the time (you can even see the dry skin, it cracks a little). She's energetic, eats well and I just finished a course of antibiotics and eye drops. Her eye looks good, no discharge like before but at times she will breathe through her nose and kind of gulp. I asked the vet but both times I saw her, she said it's just a URI and nothing else. Her stool was negative for parasites. I don't know whether I should get a humidifier or see the vet again. Could it just be really dry air? Have you had a similar experience with your cat? Help!

My cat is 12.5 years old and he is overweight. I have noticed lately that he doesnt jump that much anymore, I dont think he could even jump onto my bed. He can jump on my couch with a struggle. He also waddles now and he has been drinking lots of water lately. Does it sound like he has diabeties? How can I test him without bringing him to the vet, the ride there would really frighten him and my vet killed my last cat, they were greedy and have been known to do operations or leave things in animals when not needed to make extra money. My cat seems very healthy and happy besides everything else does anyone know if this sounds like diabeties?

i was pouring it into the box and she was staring right into it. i cant say for sure its an infection but she closes the one eye a lot and it has an ocassional discharge starting this afternoon
she has full vaccinations. we have the banfield's wellness plan thing. we took it in today at about 4 and sat there for 3 hours until the doctor came in and said he couldnt do anything for her tonight because he had to sedate her and it was too late in the evening. thanks doc. i would rather not go back there but we dont have a choice now because of their payment plan that you cant get out of.
we will probably take her back in the morning to see if she can get. cross your fingers.

He has food and clean water yet still jumps up and it's getting to the point where i've had enough! We've tried squirting him with water whenever he does it but he still persists.....help!

I was walking past my garage door, where we keep our family cat at night because it gets into fights with other animals, and it was crying very loudly. I opened the garage to see what the fuss was about, and instantly I smell what I thought was Acetone. I later discovered a broken bottle of mosquito lamp oil. The bottle says fatal if swallowed.

I used some shampoo to wash her fur, but she was drooling at the mouth and still crying. I think she tried to clean herself and swallowed it. She won't drink anything, not milk or water. We tried to get her to eat some bread but she wouldn't do that either. She really wanted to go outside so I let her.

Is she going to die? Is there anything I can do besides wait it out?

I have a male siamese I rescued from the pound and I take him to the vet yearly for his shots and seems like he's been going to the vet for various reasons including kidney stones, being bitten by other wild cats and the poor guy is a lover not a fighter. But I noticed he has been losing his hair behind his left ear and above both eyes. He licks and bits his fur often just don't know if it's related to the hair loss or not. I'm planning on taking him to the vet but can't get him in till this coming Fri. any suggestions I would appreciate the input. I am a animal lover and have had lots of cats and two dogs which one is living with me and my cat that I am talking about with the hair loss. He is the most loving and cuddly cat I've owned and you can definately tell he adores me he'll cuddle with me every night and he'll come sit on my lap and stretch his paw to touch my face and looks me in the eye's. Special boy he is so just a concerned cat lover.

I am a first time cat owner and she is now off the kitten food but when I feed her she is still hungry, she has been wormed and fixed, every since she has been fixed she doesn't get full. I feed her at set times so she won't get fat, but I don't want her to cry from hunger either. what food is better for her to feel full, and stay healthy?

Is it possible for my cats to have acute kidney failure that can go away or do they most likely have chronic kidney failure that is uncurable?

About a month ago I brought two new kittens into my home to live with my 3 year old cat (Nermal). I knew there would be an ajustment period and Nermal was very ticked off at first and attacked them, but eventually she got over it and she tolerates them now. I tried to make sure and show her that she wasn't being replaced and that she was the boss. I try to always pet her first when I get home, I feed her first, etc... but... It doesn't seem to have worked. She seems really depressed. She's never been an overly affectionate cat but there has always been certain things that she has liked to do with me(chasing toys, kneeding on me when I lie down, etc.)... and now she doesn't do any of that stuff. She just lies around in whatever room I'm not in. Any ideas on how to show her that she hasn't been shunned from the family?

I was wondering if anyone knew how many times a day is good to feed 2 young adult male cats.
I feed them maybe twice a day and they still seem to be hungry.
I do not feed them table food at all though, just cat food.

How do I get the kitten to adjust to new surrounding?
How do I train it to use the litter box?
I was told that Burmese are as intelligent as dogs if they are can I train him to do some tricks like how to sit or shake hands?

I just think that Burmese look the cutest from all of the cat breeds.

my female cat who has been spayed was always very outgoing, but all of a sudden she refuses to go outside unless its to use the toilet (she hates the litter tray but will use it wen she has to) she always wants to come straight back in again, which is unlike her. there are other cats around and i think she may have been fighting with one of them and has lost her territory - if this is the case then wot can i do? she is eating and drinking well and is in good health. she has me worried as it used to be that you could hardly get her to come back in the house!
