My 4 1/2 month old Russian Blue kitten has blue eyes still, with only a sliver of green around the pupils. I got him from a registered breeder, who told me that the longer the eyes are blue, the more vivid the green when they do change colour. Yet, I have looked at some websites (re: cat breed standards) and according to them most Russians should have green eyes by now. So what is correct???

I want to start feeding my kitten treats to reward her for doing good things, but i am not sure if it is safe to feed her normal cat treats? Are there specific kitten treats on the market and if so, is it really that necessary to use them? i just dont want her getting sick or anything.

I live in an apartment complex that is overrun by feral cats. There must be close to 50 or more and they just keep multiplying. All the time I hear them fighting and crying. They spray my porch and bleed on my door steps. They spred flea's everywhere (both my dog and my INDOOR cat have flea's as well as the rest of my apartment.

My dog now has both fleas and tapeworms because of the fleas. He scratches constantly to get them off, causing scabs and bruises on himself. We have tried biospot, advantage, flea baths, capstar, borax and other treatments totaling over $200.00 but cannot rid our dog, cat or HOUSE of the fleas!!!!!

I have gone to the management and told them about an organization that will take the cats for a small donation. They refuse to give any monies.

I called the Animal Control and they said that since there is no leash law for cats that they cannot do anything. THIS IS DRIVING ME NUTS!

Can someone Help and tell me what to do to save the cats and my dog?

We've had our cat since he was a kitten. He's full grown now and he recently disappeared. I was letting my dogs out back one day and I spotted him at the neighbors house behind ours. She was taking pictures of him and even getting him to sort of "pose" for her. She is a cat freak. She has about 6 cats who she lets in and out of her house and our cat just happened to go over there to stay. I call him back to our house but he acts as though he doesn't even recognize me anymore. He used to LOVE our dog, Red. They used to play and have a good ol' time, but now whenever our cat sees our dog through the fence, he will run straight back to our neighbors house.

Maybe she's giving him better food, lol. Or maybe he just likes being around other cats.

What do you think?

when i got my cat, he was the most ordinary looking one in his litter (he looks like a ragamuffin/turkish van combo)--but i fell in love with the heart shaped spot on his back!
his litter mates were very unique, one had curly or wire hair, and the other had 'scottish fold' type ears, and the other had short little stubby legs!!
is it common for all sorts of unusual traits to be in just one litter? i wanted to take them all home with me cuz they were so unique!

He wants to get a kitten. We have are cats indoor only. Isn't 4 cats too many? And won't the adult cats pick on the baby?

Is there a certain procedure in using one of these? This is not a good analogy but I had horse's and used Farnam Fly covers for there eyes, the only thing I did was pet horse ta' "un-nervy" them, let horse get a good smell of it and then proceeded (only used when horse's were in stalls). Might add that that the cat mask covers both eyes and muzzle. The reason for usin' one is that we have a siamese (spooky)...

My cat is not friendly. I would really like it if she sat in my lap, but she never wants to. What can I do so that she wants to sit in my lap?

So I was given a kitten in Oct. We thought she was only about 8weeks old (due to her size) but the doctor said she was 4months old. Well it is pratically March now, which makes her approx. 8 to 9months old, and she still seems extremely small. I read that a 8week old kittens should weigh about 2lbs. Morgan (the kitten) weighed 2lbs when I took her to the vet in Dec. I haven't taken her to the vet recently but she probably weight only 4lbs still.

Is this healthly? Am I doing somerthing wrong? Or am I being a overly concerned parent?
