lol my cats do that all the time. they do it for comfort.

cats like to be sleep in small compact places, so they sometimes tend to compact themselves. i think its cute :)

cats only tuck their paws when they lie down because they might fall over

I guess it's more comfortable to lay that way. When my cat lays down on her stomach, with paws tucked in, we call it "nesting", because she looks like a (cat)bird snuggled into a nest.

When they tuck their paws under themselves when they lie down, that is supposed to show they are contented. Its when they sort of crowch on their front pays or lay with their paws fully extended that you should be leary of them.

I think it makes them more comfy. Its like if you lie down and put your hands behind your head.

My cat does it when its colder out. He is like a thermometer, the hotter it is, the longer he gets!

they don't always........sometimes they sprawl out......sometimes their legs are up in the air.....they just like to change positions.....like anyone else!
