You didn't mention where you got her. A kitten that is five months should still be very active. Our kitten didn't start slowing down until around 7 or 8 months. There can be many reasons why a kitten will suddenly slow down - and certainly a kitten not wanting to play is highly unusual especially if she did before and has lost interest. That is a first clue that something is wrong. A cat won't stop eating drinking or using the box until an illness has gotten to a severe level or to the advanced stages (like a cat with leukemia) but lack of activity can be an early indication that something is wrong. And so you want to rule out as many possibilities as you can. Certainly having your kitten wormed is a good step if you haven't... I saw that others had mentioned it... Then you should know if that is it in a couple of days. But if you really don't know anything about where your kitten came from, if it was a stray or from a shelter or anything really there is possibility of something like feline leukemia or FIV (cat aids) which are both very highly transmissible diseases especially when they are kittens they are very susceptible. You should have her tested if you haven't. This happened to all three of the kittens we found together as an abandoned litter. You might also want to check and make sure your kitten is not anemic. Check her gums and pads of the feet and if the tissue is pale pink or whitish you need to bring her to the vet right away. It sounds like a visit to the vet for a full examination and to narrow down the likely problem if there is one... but these are just my first thoughts.

Pretty typical.. as cats (and Pups) get older they want to play less.. this is pretty normal..
Either one.. early play is to hone the predatory instincts.. they loose it over time particularly if they no longer have to hunt to make a living.. which they dont you feed them...(Come to think of it so do humans huh?)
In an odd way its kindda like the difference between dating and being married.. things cool down when you get married LOL
As for not being as active.. science determinid long ago athat a TYPICAL ADULT CAT sleeps 2/3'ds of its life.. so thats not even close to being unusual either..
In short.. you seem to have a very normal cat..

She may be sick, take her to the vet because that may be a sign of some serious diseases in cats, especially kittens. She should be very entergetic and playful, particuarally in this young stage of her life.

Your vet knows you cat or if he doesn't then take your cat to the vet. It may be about the time she is going to go into heat, or she may have worms, or maybe she is not reacting well to her vaccinations. When you take her in to the vet, he can tell more about her and know why she is behaving the way she is.

Has she been wormed? Or is she too young for that? You
might want to call your vets office and just ask about it.

I think she's just feeling depressed. Is she spayed? If not, ask your Vet if she is old enough to go through woman hood.

Kittens are born with worms, they get them from their mother. You need to have it wormed. They can get them again. Do it right away because they can get really bad and the kitten can die.

She's just tired of you I bet. You're not new to her anymore, so she's bored, depressed, and/or tired of you.
Suggestion: Buy a laser pointer.
