Poor kitty, it is very uncomfortable being in heat and when you adopt or buy that should be the first thing you do is to get her fixed. Cats that have been sterilized are healthier and happier cats.

I also have a cat who was in heat and mistakenly we let her out the house and now she is pregnant. Definately do not let your cat out the house if you do not want a litter of kittens. She may become very irritated because she is in heat but this will pass.

She is going to get a little defensive so you want to make sure to give her a little space. Also she may do a traction where because she's in heat it will seem as if she cannot move when she wants to run, this too is also part of her being in heat.
Usually this last for about a week or so and it passes.

Hope this helps. Good Luck.

Sounds like she is in heat and if you don't want any kittens you better keep her in and call the vet annoying as she is right now theres not much more that you can do for her but know this if you don't have her fixed and soon it won't be long untill she will be back in heat again

If she isn't spayed then she is in her first heat. Get her spayed immediately or keep her indoors. If she has been spayed she might be voicing her wants of being outside. I have three cats and one of them will howl the entire night to see if he can annoy us to let him outside. Good luck, if she is in heat the best thing you can do is lock her in a bathroom so she doesn't drive you nuts all day and night long and doesn't have a chance to run out the door.

it's quite simple...she is in heat! keep her confined until her heat cycle is over...you will know... when she stops howling! It should last about a week to ten days... The best time for her to be spayed is when her cycle is finished..best to make the appointment now! her next cycle will be in another month... Female cats come into heat approximately ever month or so...unlike female dogs, who cycle about every 6 to 7 months or, in the case of Basenjis, once a year!

She is in heat. Our 8 month old has been doing that off and on since before Christmas. It seems like it is every 2 weeks. She will escape out the door if we stand too long with it opened too! Time to get her to the kitty doctor.

Yup, she wants a boyfriend. Like the others said, keep her inside and take her to the vet. A cat in heat can be spayed. If she gets out, it's even more important to get her spayed immediately else she will have kittens.

And..it's ok to spay a pregnant cat. You prolifers gotta realize..this is a cat, not a human.

Yes, she's in heat. She will be very annoying for a few days. Do not let her out to get bred, and get her fixed immediately when she comes out of heat. Thousands upon thousands of animals are put down every day because people are not responsible about getting thier pets altered.

Have you had her spayed? It sounds like she is in heat and wants to mate. Get her to a vet and have her spayed ASAP.
