nothin's wrong with your cat--most cats do that. It started out they do that to 'kneed' more milk from their mother's ****, but after they are grown, I think it is just a comforting thing they like to do. Train em right and you can get a good massage! LOL

It's called kneading, and it's an instinct cats pick up from the time they're kittens. That's how they stimulate the flow of milk from their mother.
It's not a bad thing, there's nothing wrong. My cats do it when they're getting comfortable.

I think it is one way of relaxing. Cat enjoys playing by herself and that is what she is doing. It is not weird but a normal act. My cat does the same and i dont worry about her action in fact i enjoy watching her play and rub herself in my blanket.

It's making the spot more comfortable to lay. It's natural and starts when there kittens. Kittens do it when they're nursing. Nothing is wrong with your cat, it apparently just doesn't think your bed is comfy enough for it so it's making it even more comfortable.

Most often, cats do this when they have been weaned from their mothers too early. It is entirely normal, though, and harmless. What the cat is doing is making the same "kneading" motions that s/he used to stimulate the flow of milk from her/his mothers' nipples while s/he was nursing.

Relax, it's ok your cat is just kneading. I think they all do it from the time they're kittens. Just getting comfortable and he's happy. Mine does it all the time not just when he's on the bed.

my cat does that and she's 3 now. She's been doing it when she was little and it sounds very similar to what you are describing except she'll put part of the blanket in her mouth. I think its cute :o)

It's called kneading ... all kittens do it when they are nursing from their mother.
Some cats continue to do it all their lives. My cat is 5 and does it every day especially with wool or fleece.

cats are born with that. its what kittens do when nursing from their mother.
the action can be used against anything. its a sign of comfort to them.
when my cat was dying, it was kneeding the air like that. i consider that it was comforted by my being there with her even to the end.
