I bought kitten formula & a kitty bottle, but my kitten didn't allow me to feed her, she won't even open her mouth! :( plzz help. is there a better, easier bottle to use with newborn kitties? anything I should know about this? thnx:)

One more thing, how long does it take for a siamese kitten to get her points? I Know it takes over a year to develope, but for now, how long do I have to wait before anything appears?

N'how many "essential" shots to I have to give my kitten and after how many weeks/months?

thnx alot in advance

Siamese kitten take about 6 to 8 weeks to start showing there true colours, our Siamese cat had kittens and we lost two, they would not feed, lot of Patience's is needed.

you do have to open there mouths a little bit and tease the teat in and if she start suckling then bonus but if not, leave her and try again, dont stress her out!

i thinks its about 3 shots then one every year after that. they start them at about 6 weeks!

good luck

If the kittens wont accept the teat (some are too hard for their little mouths) use a syringe and gently syringe the formula in. Try and get one with a rounded end as it is gentler. The new born needs to be fed every two - three hours (day and night).
Once they grow a little, try the bottle again.
Make sure the formula is blood heat - like a human baby needs.
If you are somewhere where it is hot, wrap the kitten in a clean dry washcloth, this will stop the kitten getting damp from the natural sweat from your hands and catching cold.
As others have said, gently wipe the kittens' bottom with a warm damp wash cloth to help them wee and poop.
Vaccinations: 6 weeks, 8 weeks, 12 weeks and then yearly boosters.
Though I do believe the booster shots last for 2 years. Ask your vet for confirmation.

Use a syringe, without the needle. Or an eydropper. Put it in the kitten's mouth form the side, and release small amounts slowly, don't choke the little fellow. After he's eaten, rub his bottom a little bit with a damp cloth, to stimulate him to poo, their mum licks them for that. Finally, keep him very warm, under a lamp and next to the radiator. Really very warm. On a heated cushion or blanket if you have one.

Most of the bottles they sell (such as at PetSmart) don't have very good holes in the top of them. So you might want to try putting a bigger hole on it, or maybe more small holes. Squeeze the bottle until just a little bit of milk is on the tip, and then try again.

Also, don't forget that baby kittens (and puppies) need to have their genitals wiped with a soft wet cloth, to get them to eliminate their waste. They don't have the reflexes to do this on their own.

I used an eyedropper and held my little girl against my chest when I was feeding her so she could feel my heart beat. Call local vet re: shots, I would say. Good luck.
