All Siamese kittens, regardless of the actuality that organic cream or white at delivery, improve seen factors in the 1st few months of life in less warm factors of their physique. via the time a kitten is 4 weeks previous the factors might desire to be for sure distinguishable adequate to recognize which coloration they're. Siamese cats tend to darken with age, and customarily person Siamese residing in heat climates have lighter coats than those in cool climates.

The pigment in siamese cats is cold dependant (info here: http://www.gi.alaska.edu/ScienceForum/ASF8/836.html) and kittens, quite happily, are nice and cozy warm- their fur will change color as it grows in, but what they grew in the womb is white because it was warm inside mom. You should see some signs of color in the new fur, and have an idea of their color by 4-6 weeks.

They should open their eyes by 3 weeks at the latest (usually 1-2 in the litter will take longer than the other, don't fuss about it, though.)
Shortly after their eyes are open, they may start to take off. Mom will start dragging them back, but they still may end up in places you don't expect them.
By 8-12 weeks they will be fully independant and (usually) mom will stop feeding them altogether.

I took in an abandoned starved litter (I had a lactating queen at the time) and they were eating hard food (they went and found it!) and nursing as soon as they opened their eyes-because they needed a lot of calories. Unlike humans, cats can actually eat hard food very early, it just doesn't give them the nutrition they need, so let them nurse as long as mommy wants.

I have a 4.5 mth old male Siamese kitten, I got him for Christmas on 12-03-06. He was 9 wks old and already had his points. He is a seal point. And before I got him the people who had him could already tell by 7weeks that he was seal point. But he still has white on his belly and insides of all 4 legs. And the underside of his tail is still light. As for the other colors like Liliac and blue I have no idea. I have only owned Seal points, and as far as weaning them. I would start around 4-5 weeks with introducing them to solids take dry kitten food and put warm water in it, and let it sit to soak up the water. Canned kitten food maybe to strong for their stomachs, and give them diarreha. Then give them the kitten food until they can eat it dry. But keep them with mom until about 8 weeks. GOOD LUCK

Me thinks that the answers given by "Smile-for" are "jumping the gun" just a bit, except that YES, their eyes do start opening in 10-days to 2 weeks. But, 5 weeks is too soon to wean any cat from it's mommy. Oh, you can try supplementing wet kitten food in between, but don't take them completely away from "Mommy" until between 6 - 8 weeks. As far as color, I've NEVER seen any Siamese start to put on their basic tan color until they are about 6 weeks to 2 months. It will take approx. 4 to 6 months (or longer) before they start "setting their points".

About the changing color...

Our 10 year old Siamese had very light fir for a long time. It was almost pure white until he was about 3, when his fir began to darken. I have pictures of him his first few years and his fir was extremely light. Now, it is a very dark brown with black. He is a very pretty cat!!
