Of course it is a good idea. If your cat is in the house he may start to spray and that is a hard smell to get out of furniture etc. It also makes them better pets, they are less likely to run off and get into fights

WEll a nicer way of putting it is to say getting your cat fixed, but basically the same thing. Other than the fact that the cat won't spray and bring all the cats in the neighborhood calling, it is good for the cat's health. If you don't fix the cat and you don't breed the cat it plays havoc with the cats kidneys. If you want your cat to live longer and have a healthier life, get it done. Also, to be honest, even if it is an indoors cat, you can never tell if it's going to make a break for the outdoors, mine have, and I live in a Manhattan apartment, and if they aren't fixed, do you want to be responsible for more unwanted kittens.

yes but be sure to put him on uiranry tract formula food. ur vet may even tell u this... (got urs at shelter was not informed of this until to late + i know dogs better) all male cats after being fixed (even intack) can get uiranry track problems from infections to blockages a good uinary track formula well help in preventing this. we just lost our kitty from a blockage... it would have been over 600 to get him the help he needed and it may not have worked...so instead of him suffering we let him go peacefully... even after this i will still get all my animal fixed...it is better for them and if they would ever get out ur female doesn't come home with kittens and ur male didn't make more unwanted kittens...
plus toms get that well...tom smell in the litter box and it can be overwelming...soon.

That is the best you can do. It will stop most of his feelings about going out on the town. I have 3 male cats, all de-sexed and none of them pee on the walls. They all use the cat litter and live indoors. With the number of cobras we have around here it is the safest way.

Absolutely.
He is much less likely to start spraying your house and will not sire all sorts of unwanted litters of kittens if he gets out. Neutering can also prevent health problems later in life.

Yes. This will prevent many unwanted kittens, wanderin g in your cat, the possibilty of agressive behvior involving him in fights which can hurt him, spread disease, and reduces any chance of testicular cancer.
Do it asap! visit www.friendsofanimals.org for low cost spay neuter certificates.

Yes, it's makes them a better cat too. If you don't he will eventually start spraying, get it done while they are young. Good Luck

Yes! There are way too many animals being euthanized across the country. Domesticated animals know nothing about birth control.;-)=
