If your cat is big enough to bring deer and otters home, and smart enough to figure out how to fit them through the cat flap you should probably be more worried about your own safety instead of worrying about how to stop him.

Are we talking cat or leopard here?

My cat and her brother who belongs to my friend are half Scottish wildcat (accidental mating between farm cat and wildcat)
and are very big for domestic cats. The girl I own is a rubbish hunter and never catches a thing but her brother is a maniac and has caught animals up to the size of a roe deer fawn once.

But otters? They are big! What cat are we dealing with!

Cats see this as bringing you a 'gift' as if their saying thank you for looking after them so there's not much you can do. My granny is a cat lover and some of her's would often do this (although it was usually only field mice or small birds!!) When they brought them in, she give the cat a wee pet, said thank you and lifted the stuff back outside, the cat soon got the jist that there was no point bringing it out cos it was just put back out.

Holy crap otters and deer??? And I was grossed out by the rabbits my cat brought home! He's just bringing you presents, toss them outside and ignore him. He'll get the picture.

I seriously doubt your cat is catching these animals on his own. Have you considered the possibility that he may be stealing your car and running over them? Do you find that your car is often mysteriously low on gas? Do you see any strange dents in the front end of the car, cracks in the winshield or blood on the bumper? Is it possible he is out drinking and driving with his friends? Lots of unanswered questions here, you may want to lock the car in the garage for a month or so and see if the frequency of these occurrances becomes lower. If none of these things are evident, I would try feeding him more and scratching him a lot! You want to remain on his good side just in case!

you must have a very big cat. it is either gotten a taste for blood and killing anything it can find to eat or it is bringing you his prey as a show of submission to you the alpha male or female. You can either stop it from bringing in those items or i would get rid of the cat.
