Female cats dont usually urinate outside their litter box or urination area so her doing it indoors can suggest a few things. There may be a cat outside hanging about and she may be frightened. Her urinating is her marking her territory. She may not like the litter in her litter box. Please dont rub your cats nose in it, this doesnt teach them anything and, as cats are clean animals, she most probably wont be doing it out of mischief! Dont use household cleaners where she urinates as they have amonia in and will smell of urine to her so she will continue to do it there. Instead, sprinkle some bicarbonate of soda on the area, leave for a few hours then hoover. This will get rid of the smell and she wont return there to urinate just because she can smell herself there. There are sprays you can get from the vets that help to treat the area also. To stop her urinating in the house at all, you first must find out the problem. If it is another cat outside, you must stop the other cat coming near. If you do this the urinating will stop. My Nana's cat urinates outside her litter box when she gets scared of other cats outside.

First of all, female cats can spray. BUT are you certain she is spraying? If she sits down then she is just peeing, if she backs up to a wall or object and then shakes her tail she is spraying.
When ever cats do any peeing in the house first thing is to take her to the vets and get her checked for any infections, they are a common problem.
next thing to do is clean the area with a biological washing powder and then wipe with surgical spirit, this will remove the smell (smell can encourage them to spray again).
Then if it is spraying and she has no infection work out if she is always doing it in the same place(s), and if so the best bet is to get two litter trays, one slightly smaller than the other. place the first one on the floor infrount of the problem area(s), then stand the other one up on end and place it into the first tray, so that it covers the wall being sprayed, they should form an 'L' shape.
they are pheremone sprays on the market that can help to calm your cat(s) if the spraying is caused by stress, the plug-in ones are best and one should be put into each room she sprays in.
Hope this all makes sense and is some help :)

My sister-in-law's female cat sprays in their house every time she lets her inside, and she is spayed. I don't think it can be corrected because it is just the nature of the cat to mark territory, just like dogs. However there are products on the market that will help with the smell and stain of cat urination, and some products even say they can make your animal stop spraying in certain areas. Ask your local vet or do a search on the Internet. I don't think there is anything permanent you can do to prevent the problem, not even spaying.

No, its actually marking her teritory, which is absolutely natural she obviously isnt spayed and her nose shouldnt have been put in it, she dosnt know any difference, she only acting naturally and getting in trouble for it. The only way to correct is to get her spayed, but it will take a few weeks for her hormones to settle down and her body to realise whats happened, but she is 3 and spraying might still go on for a while now because of routine and habit. By no means is it mischeif.

If a female cat is doing this, there is a pretty good chance that she has a bladder infection. Therefore, everytime she goes pee, it burns very bad. She thinks that what is burning he is what she is peeing on, therefore she will try different surfaces to ease the pain. Call your local vet and see if you need to bring her in for med, if there is anything you can do. The visit wont cost that much.

is she spayed i know this can be a problem, also if any cat has ever sprayed there before she may just keep doing it. urine smells stay for along time even though we cant smell them. If he has a littter box i dont think h is looking for a place to pee unless she is not litter trained
