I have looked at books I have spoken to vets, but yet my cockatiel has remained anti-social and stubborn. What do I do.

Yesterday evening, i found an injured piegon in my balcony with one injured wing. Due to safety from cats/dogs for the night i brought to piegon into a spare bedroom and kept a small jar of water with some seeds (bajra). Any ideas on making the piegon to recover fast so that she could fly back on her own.

In addition any suggestions about what to serve the piegon ?

My cockatiel has developed a fetish for toes and will try to 'mate' with them any chance he gets. Socks and shoes don't even seem to bother him. If he can get to them, he will. One day he started with my slipper but quit quickly after realizing my foot wasn't in it.
I've read the books that say mature male cockatiels will do this with their perch but what do you do when it's you they are after? I am afraid to have him out around people that don't know him well because I don't know their reaction to him 'doing' my foot. My family and close friend think it is hillarious but I don't.
How can I get him to stop or to transfer his desires to something else?

Can anyone tell me why my cockatiel (male) is slowly turning yellow where there used to be only grey? Is it his age; he's over 13 years old (he is the only bird I have.)

Well, there are many piegeons around my house and everyday they come, they sit and enjoy. Now the trouble is I end up cleaning their poo in my balcony. Trust me, they just stick on to the floor and you have to really scrub hard to get it off.
I do not want to hurt them, But please, please let me know if there is a harmless way of discouraging them from entering my balcony.
I do not want to spend money on putting mesh and it does not have aesthetic value. In fact it reduces the light into the living room.
If you know or have any innovative ideas, I would be really thankful.

I have been reading about things in the Bird World and discovered there is a bad element out there called a "SCAMMER". I found an ad in the Los Angeles Classified : FREE FOR ADOPTION...DNA TESTED BABY AFRICAN GREYS . THEY COME WITH CAGES, HEALTH GUARANTEE CERTIFICATE, TOYS AND ALL SHOTS. Well of course I jumped right at that and told them I had wanted a Grey all my life but being on a SSD check, just simply could never find the money for one of these wonderful birds. I told them about how my birds are my friends and i was sure one of his birds would find a good life with me
Bobby and Sunny they replied back they have
1 male /2 females .which one did I want and when did I want it???? Then they left me hanging for 3 days. today I get the deal. I only have to pay $490.00 for a pair of Blue Hyincyths (?) to be delivered in my area and my bird would come special delivery to my door. They wanted the money and then they would ship. WHY do I have to pay $490.00 for somebody elses birds ?

Ok, so... I want to get a parakeet but (a) don't have very many brilliant name ideas and (b) am not sure where to get a parakeet. I live in Cypress, TX (close to Houston) and am not sure if Petsmart parakeets are the healthiest. Any ideas on bird stores that sell healthy parakeets? Thanks for your help!

I just rang the bird vet, she advised me i dont need a license to own a Macaw parrot. The other issue is the guy selling them is actualy only selling the egg, unhatched and is located in Cameroon, Flora. Very Suss, he is selling the egg for $55, and $100 for shipping the egg with a portable incubator which i have to send back to him once its hatched. He provides a hand booklet on what to do once its hatched.... sound suss or sound like a bargain ?

I live in an apartment and can't have a bird that is going to make me an enemy of my neighbors. I would love something macaw like, but they don't seem to be all that quiet. Any recommendations on apartment volume birds?

What are some safe materials that I can get locally (ie walmart, lowes, home depot, michaels etc) to make toys for my greenwing and baby trition cockatoo? Also, are there any toys in the toy department that are safe for them. I read somewhere that greenwings love large legos?

I have a pair of lovebirds, who have not mated with each other at all, and I was told they are male and female by the people that gave them to me. I was told I needed to get them DNA tested to really be able to tell whether they are male and female. But I was curious will they naturally try to mate WITHOUT a nesting box.... or will they never mate with each other unless I HAVE a nesting box? Please help!! Need this info to determine whether or not to buy a nesting box, or to take them and have them DNA tested.

So I have read about amillion things about getting room safe for many animals, but never once have I seen bird proofing for a room. SO I got a heater for my room finally so its warm enough to move the bird in there where he will get more attention. So im gonna be letting him out(with his wings clipped) How would I go about bird proofing my room? I dont want him going behind things and getting electricuted. Also im afriad that even though I have a top on my aquarium, that there is still enough room for him to get through.
so this brings up a few more questions
What do I do if he does manage to get himself behind my entertainment center or something and I cant get to him, how do I get him out?
Also how can make my room fum for him
