any way of knowing what year he was born?

cjm is the breeder/aviary where your bird was bred
ca is California state it came from
3610 your birds id #
this will help you identify your bird if you loose it and somebody honest finds it.

I don't know how to tell what year he was born, but the ring on their feet is so they can tell chicks apart when they're born, it's like a name only since they all look mostly alike when they're born. They can't tell differences if they just name them, that's why they put them on. (don't try taking it off because they don't come off)

this band is from the breeder (Called a society band: http://www.internationalparrotletsociety.org/societybands.html
- it tell you where your bird came from .. I cna't find the site now, but there is one out there you can put your band info in and you can see where it came from .. I believe CA = California

its for breeders sake just so people dont imbreed it tells you who bred it and the group number it tells you if you buy a brother or sister of his so you dint imbreed them
