My cockatiel won't eat fresh fruit or veggies. He runs away every time I try to give it to him to eat. How can I get him to eat them? Or is there something I can put in his food that would give him the vitamins he needs?

I've also tried to buy him a variety of treats but he's scared of them too. I tried holding them up to him and miming eating it but he just runs away. I've also tried to put the treats in the corner of his cage but he ignores them.

Anyone have an answer to my problems?

Im afraid of checking them because the mother goes crazy and I don't want her to think im harming her egg's, or not take them back.

My parakeet loves her new mirror, and she sits at it all day long and pecks at it and rubs on it and stuff, but I've had to wash it daily so far because it gets so clouded with some kind of stuff! It's milky colored, but not really sticky or gooey or hard, just kinda like soapscum. Does anyone know what this is or if it's a problem?

The other one wasnt, but both are laying. One day there were 8 eggs. The next time I looked there were 3. This amount changes each day. Do they have a pouch or hold these eggs in them? Its weird.

She is some what tamed, I just got her( few days ago). We let her out the cage everyday. But now she is started to fly to the curtains and want to stay there. We try to get her and she bites not hard but harder than before. Are we doing something wrong ? When she is on us or lower eye level she won't bite. Can anyone help me? I want the bird to be good with my kids, as they love her to bits. She is 6 months old, and her name R2 .

Thank you for reading this and taking time out of your life.

All of my finches(10)are offspring of one pair but have not interbred. The lump is associated w/ some feather loss but not permanant. This affects both male and female birds, but the parents are healthy, singing and laying another brood of 8 eggs.I have a finch care book but it mentions nothing. I tried google, but couldn't find anything either. The patch of skin is bright yellow and bulbous, but hidden under the feathers. I can see it clearly when the birds preen themselves.Besides this skin the birds have no signs of illness. I want to figure this out quickly, in case it is harmful or contagious to my other birds. Please help!

I'm looking to buy a bird and can't decide whether to buy a Quaker or Amazon (see my previous question as well). Would you recommend an Amazon or a Quaker Parrot?

my room, where i want to keep it, doesn't get much traffic. I know that these birds are supposed to kept in a room w/ traffic. Should i get it a mate?(when i get it) I really want the bird to be very bonded to me, i know that sounds selfish, and i am not sure if i get it a mate that it will keep on being bonded mostly to me. Also, i'm not sure if a boy or a girl is more friendly. Help!
