YES!!!
I took care of my uncle's African Grey, and she was worse than a 2 year old. She would stay just out of reach, and scream when I tried to put her to bed.
I was a little freaked out by how much like a kid she actually behaved!

Yes, birds can act like small children. Darken the room completely and do your work in another. Good luck and things will get better. The same bed time every night, routine is important just like with kids. Have a tweet year.

Even after a year of covering their cages, my lovebirds act very curious to see the cover go over their cage. My one single bird will climb out of her bed and sit on top of it when I cover the cage and she'll coo and make contented little lovebird warbles. :)
Once in a while, one of my pairs will squawk at the cover, but they deal. It's less of an "I don't want to go to bed" and more of a "WHAT IS THAT?"

I put my lovebirds in my walk in closet at night b/c they never shut up even is there's only a sliver of moonlight.
I love them but... The noise is too much.

i have 2 african greys. . they dont want there cages covered . it scares them to death. at night before i go to bed i get my cup of coffee. when they hear me stir that coffee they know its time for bed. sometimes they will tease me,and pretend they are going in there cage and then change their mind. most of the time they climb right in .
