Can anyone tell me why my cockatiel (male) is slowly turning yellow where there used to be only grey? Is it his age; he's over 13 years old (he is the only bird I have.)

Thats what happens as they mature.
I had one that did that as well.

Any color change in a cockatiel can indicate illness or disease. I would take him to the vet and have a full check up, including blood work done.
