Hi there is a sun conure at a pet store and it regurgates it food and offers it to it's toys. Is it a female? Can you judge by this?

I have a cockatiel that talks a bit. He says "hello" and "pretty bird" and he whistles some songs, but I don't know what else to teach him. I'm just wondering if your cockatiel talks, and if he does....what does he say?

The people behind me threw them into the woods, I'm assuming they got tired of them. I feel badly for them and they are now starting to get into my fenced in yard to eat bird seed under the feeder. Problem is I have 2 dogs who don't like them at all. They've made a home in a brush pile and have been there for 2 weeks so it doesn't look like they're going anywhere. Any help on what to do for these poor little guys would be appreciated! Thanks

This morning I found my pigeon trying to incubate an egg. Since she has no male companion, I was wondering if it would be safe to eat the egg? I took her to the vet about a month ago and she was given a clean bill of health.

there's something that's really holding me back. It's pretty dumb, but it's still preventing me from buying one. It's poop. It would really bother me to have it all over the room when it's loose, or have it poop in my hand. A dog or cat you can train not to go to the bathroom in your house, but I'm pretty sure you can't train a bird not to go in your hand, right? I reeaallly want one, but the idea of it just loosely pooping in my hand or on my carpet is bothering me. So what do owners do about this? Do they just not care if they get pooped on and wash it off? What about the carpet? And also...do parakeets go a lot? How often? I really hope there is something I can do about it so I can buy one!

He's about 2 months old. Hubby said he was fine yesterday, I've been out of the area and came home to him tonight tucked into himself. When I took him out of the cage, he would sit on finger but kept his eyes closed. Will barely open his eyes. He also seems to be very cold.....he keeps burrowing into my neck, hands. Any ideas?

I've found an injured adult robin with a broken wing. Have had it about a week. Early on, it would eat 50 mealworms or more a day but now it's picky or maybe not eating them at all. Can't really tell because the worms get tossed all around the floor and I don't know how many have been eaten or not. Before, it would eat them promptly from a dish when brought them even if I was in the room. Now it doesn't get excited about the food- at least when I'm there.

I wonder if it was just very hungry before because it hadn't had big meals due to the winter and now it's stuffed and doesn't need to eat as much.

Other than that, it seems healthy. Jumps around quickly and with strength it seems. Has a strong voice. Drinks and bathes in a pan of water ( I guess. water is less and splashed everywhere when I check. Haven't actually witnessed it).

just not sure if its health is deteriorating with no obvious signs. I plan to take it to a wildlife center when I'm not blizzarded in.

He puts his feet in the water dish but it is to small for him to fit all the way in to clean his self thoroughly.

I just asked a question about my birds. I have two peachfaced lovebirds. One response was about how spring is coming hope it isn't brother/sister pair. Why? For the obvious reasons??
My birds are siblings, they aren't sexed though so I don't know if they are brother/sister or same sex.

Okay. I have two lovebirds.

If you have experience let me know what you think.

Everytime I go near their cage today they start screeching real loud. Normally their talk/singing doesn't bother me but this is something else. And I did notice some head snaking/shaking. I don't know what it is. Give me some suggestions. I tried observing to see and checking cage but can't figure it out. Also when I don't respond to their screeching they'll stop for awhile until I leave or come back.

It is driving me up a wall :)
