Go to a feed and seed store. They will tell you just what you need. Please see to it they have plenty of water. They will eat dried bread, cornbread or crushed crackers. You are so kind-hearted!

Chick starter and cracked corn from your local feed store is the best to feed the rooster and chickens. Make sure there is a lot of water for them to drink.
You can build a small chicken coop and put some hay on the bottom of the coop. Feed the chickens and rooster every day moving a little closer to the coop each day. Once you have them eating in the coop every day, then the female chickens will begin laying their eggs in the hay. You can either let them hatch and raise more chickens, or you can get the freshly layed eggs every morning and put them in your refrigerator. Then you can have eggs for breakfast.
Hope this helps :-)

Contact your local animal shelter. Most will have a local farmer who will take them in. Since it seems that your neighbor's abandon them, they might also be interesting in filing charges against them (since it's illegal). In the meantime, keep your dogs on a leash in the back yard so as not to disturb either breed too much. Check the nest to see if there are any eggs (might just want to dispose of the first batch you find as who knows how long they've been there). If the Humane Society isn't much help, try a local feed store or pet store. They might be able to help find a home for your new feathered guests.
Good luck. If you change your mind, chickens can be very beneficial and quite a bit of fun.

I used to have chickens. You can feed them bird seed or uncooked rice if you can't find a farming store w/ chicken feed nearby. Try not to feed them bread because when it gets soggy it tends to expand and that might end up hurting them. Chickens are great at pecking into the ground and finding bugs to eat. Don't worry too much about them. As long as you offer some seed/rice everyday, they'll be fine.
You can always call your local animal shelter and they'll take them away and try to find homes for them. Not a lot of people realize that you can give some farm animals to the shelter too.

Chickens will want anything, just as long as you don't feed them the brain they'll be alright (I don't know why you might want to give her the brain, but hey, just don't!). Do you think it might be time to put them outside? They'll be happier there, and so will you - you must spend hours cleaning the floor! I've hand-raised a few chicks and they always spend their first couple of months in the house with me, but then they have to go outside and be proper chickens, so they can scratch and roost and find bugs to nibble on. It'll be summer soon, and chickens love to make little dust baths and lie in the sun! You'll have a great time watching them.

Hi there. You can keep them. Build a coop and add a heat lamp and feed them fortified chicken feed. You may be able to get the hens laying again. Roosters can be noisy and aren't necessary for eggs, you can give them to a local farmer. you can have them destroyed by animal control, you can put an ad in you local paper to give away. The decision is yours. Have a clucky day.

Don't know where you are from but I would get ahold of a local farmer and have him come get them and take them to live on his farm. You could feed them corn. Also you could call the local animal shelter.

My Aunt raises chickens and she feeds them grains, commercial chicken feed, and cracked corn. However, I would reccomend you catch them and take them to a vet and make sure they are healthy. perhaps even give them to a animal shelter, as the weather might get too cold and kill them.
