Cause it's been a whilllllle since they ate.

And when they chirp A LOT, does that mean they're hungry? A few of them were drinking some water.

I'm waiting for WildLife center to be open to come take them in, but in the meantime I'm worried.

I gave my tiels 2 fresh slices of corn cob for the first time today. They love it. They finished both. I have 2 tiels with 5day to 2 day old babies. Is it ok? How much corn cob can they eat per day? I also put towling paper inside the nesting box as suggested on the web. Is this ok, as by birds seems to look at it strangely.

I know nothing about birds. The blood appears to be in a tube on the wing. There are some bite marks but that seems the be the only main injury. The bird also has trouble putting its wing down.

Does anyone know if it can get worse, or will it heal on its own.
(I have already told the owner so all parties are aware of what is going on)

Can you tell by looking at their eyes? He can see, but every time he flies outside of his cage, he can't steer, or he doesn't see the wall. I don't want him to get a concussion. It's a lovebird, and his wings are clipped. Why won't he steer himself?

Who is terrified of there parakeet bird? Not many people. But anywayys i am basically terrified but i can still put my hand in there and change the water and food. My technique is by blowing on her if she comes by my hand or trys "biting" in anyway. I know tthis is probably a pointless question but..Is this a good technique? Will it hurt her? I have no idea what else to do...Oh and everyone says it doesnt hurt to be pecked at by her but im just so scared. [[ I am 12 and please please dont tell me that i shouldnt be scared..everyone has said that and i mean it doesnt help at all... I would really apreciate if you could help me? Or give me some new techniques on keeping her away from my hand or somthing like that? ... Tennn Points to the person who can help me best. ! [=

So I'm the second owner of my lovebird. The man before had him on an all seed diet, but my vet told me that even with supplements an all seed diet is unhealthy for my bird. So i've tried switching him to new foods, such as harrisons and zupreem. I've been at this for months now and he wont take to anything else. any advice?

I found 5 baby ducklings. They had no mother. It's nightime and I can't have wildlife take them until the morning.

What do I do in the meantime? Do I need to have food for them tonight? If so, what?

Also, I have them in a pet carrier. Should I put a towel in there?

Anything else? I don't want them to die overnight.

I have a new lovebird. he was hand raised but is still extremly nippy! I dont scream or pull away when he bites, just give him a flick on the beak and say no bite or bad bird like my vet showed me. But he still continues to make a pin cushion out of me. I've been working with him for 3 months now, with almost no progress. He even got my hand so hard I could see the bone and had to get stitches! My fingers can't take it anymore! help! how do I get my bird to stop from biting! and dont say take the bite pls.

My parakeets have breed and hatched 5 eggs. The babies are all pink and featherless as of now. This is the first time they have breed. The female has a yellow head and green body (basically a standard parakeet), the male is a lot lighter in color. He is soft yellow on his head and a light teal for his body. Also his black markings are a lot softer than hers. Any idea what coloer the babies will be??

I've noticed a Muscovy duck on a small dirt mound in a creek in an inner city park. Cars whiz by and many people walk their dogs there. He’s in a very vulnerable spot.
He did have a mate, who is no longer there. Someone told me that a dog probably picked him off. He doesn’t seem to be able to fly, because when someone comes near he just huddles---he doesn’t attempt to fly or swim away.
I only found out yesterday that he was a domestic duck that someone just dumped in the creek. So since yesterday I’ve been throwing him bread crumbs and cracked corn, which he eats voraciously.
I would take him myself, but I don’t have a fenced yard. I could put him in my garage temporarily if you think that that would be the best thing for him.
Philadelphia is expecting a huge snowstorm tomorrow night, so I am especially worried. Do you know of somewhere that I could take him? The local wildlife rehabs won’t take him because he’s considered domestic, not wild.

I'm reading a novel set in the 1950s which mentions a Mavis bird singing. Is this bird extinct or does it now go by another name?

We have a one-bedroom apartment and have put our parrot's cage in the bedroom to avoid having him near the kitchen's fumes.

Both my finace and I are wondering if he will pick up any...um...inapporopriate sounds from being in the bedroom with us, and is there anything we can do to prevent potentiall hearing embarrassing moans and noises from our bird a few months from now?
