How long have you had her? Every budgie I've had would stand on one leg from time to time. It's important to try and have perches that are different thicknesses so that the bird's feet don't become cramped. You can find a perch that's shaped like a tree branch at the pet store. I would specifically purchase one from the store, because branches that are just lying around outside can have bugs, dangerous pesticides, or indigestible bark. Good luck!

No, your Budgie is perfectly ok. Birds’ legs have an adaptation called “rete mirabile” that minimizes heat loss. The arteries that transport warm blood into the legs lie in contact with the veins that return colder blood to the bird’s heart. The arteries warm the veins. By standing on one leg, a bird reduces by half the amount of heat lost through unfeathered limbs.

No, probably not. I had 2 parakeets for a few years, they often liked to stand on one leg randomly. I don't know why they do it, but if she's not messing with it's leg like she's in pain, then it's probably fine.

Birds often stand this way if they are somewhat cold; keeping one foot in their feathers is a way to retain body heat. Try turning up the heat in her area; if the behavior continues, you might want to get her to a vet.

lol, no her leg isn't broken. My grandma raised birds, they just do it for comfort. Like us, they sometimes alter their weight from one leg to another. Sometimes they ruffle up and seemingly put their heads on their backs too, it just a comfort thing.

She is very happy, healthy and tired. A healthy bird usually sleeps on one foot. Perfectly normal.
