He's about 2 months old. Hubby said he was fine yesterday, I've been out of the area and came home to him tonight tucked into himself. When I took him out of the cage, he would sit on finger but kept his eyes closed. Will barely open his eyes. He also seems to be very cold.....he keeps burrowing into my neck, hands. Any ideas?

It sounds like he's sick. You NEED to get him to an avian vet.

In birds, sickness can be fatal pretty fast, and diagnosing it and treating it is next to impossible for anybody who isn't a specially trained avian veterinarian.

If you have Gas Heating or Electric Heating in Your Home could be the Reason. Is the Cage Near a Window, or Doorway? Could be a Draft. Birds are very Sensative to Drafts, and Heating can Sometimes Dry the Air. Try using a Humidifier in the Room that the Bird is in and Keep him away from Drafts, also If you wear Cologne or Perfume , that can affect their Eyes Too.

Take him to the vet immediately. Is he near a window? drafts directly on small bird can be fatal. Even if it is a warm breeze. It is also not good to keep them in direct sunlight at the same time. Get him or her in a shady area quick. Take him to the Vet asap.

Take him to the vet immediately if you have an emergency avain vet in your area. If you have ER avain vet then cover 3 sides of his cage and put a lamp nearby to keep him warm or put his cage on a heating pad set on very low temp. Call your avian vet first thing in the morning and request an emergency appointment.

Ignore what the person said about he is sleepy, ignore it... all the rest of the answers are right on. I dont need to repeat them. They hide illness to avoid prey, and its usually their last stage you see it. Get it to the avian vet ASAP!! keep him warmi in meantime, and if he likes cuddling with you, keep him tucked in your robe or shirt, (mine like body heat, and it bonds them to you too) or provide a towel and put it in a shoebox and let it snuggle inside that, ,kinda wrapped a little until you can get it checked out.

that is a sign that your bird is sick. I would take him to a vet as soon as possible. When a bird starts showing signs of an illness, they are usually very sick by then. It could be a number of things wrong with him so I am not even going to begin naming what could be wrong. All would need a vets attention anyway. I wish you the best of luck.

take him to an Avianarian, bird doctor, immediately. Birds are very very good at hiding illness. When we see signs of a bird being sick, it is usually to late. Keep him warm, around 26c. Get to a doctor now.

those birds can bypass downhill very rapidly. It feels like he will be ill. i'd take him to a vet right now. Birds do not substitute their behaviour rapidly like that till some thing is faulty with them. solid success, i'm hoping Puff is okay.
