Please only give me the CAUSES for this conflict. The teenagers are overweight, they don't do exercise, and they don't eat healthy food. No one is quite sure why this is true, but many people are concerned about this problem.

I know you guys are going to jump all over me but I don't plan on barfing after each and every meal just kinda "as needed". I've been exercising and watching what I eat but there's always something (usually job related) that doesn't allow me to get to the gym each and every night and I know that's the ONLY way these pesky 15 lbs are coming off. I also and broke and it's expensive to eat right every day for each meal.

I know alot of you mean well and are going to try and "save me" but I'm just looking for some advice on strategically what to "let go". I'm not doing it until my teeth rot out but I HAVE GOT TO DO SOMETHING. I'm over trying this and that and waiting for nothing to happen.

I won't discourage do gooders who want to help but I'm more interested in those who know how this is supposed to work. Thanks!

Mine has averaged 7-10 pounds. Then I leverage the New Years resolution diets (which seldom work, but a few times have been successful).

I am 5 feet 6 inches tall and about 150 pounds right now....my whole family is big boned-not fat-just more Catherine Zeta-Jones than Paris Hilton if you know what I mean?

Yea I know Ive got some extra weight but my question is...

What is the average weight in America today for my height? And is my weight considered over the norm nowadays in the US culture?
It seems like there are the skinny girls and there are the fat girls...and no inbetween...except me because Im neither lol.....answers?

I rarely go to the mall I went yesterday. I've changed my ways for about 4 months now.. NO fast food or soda!! been 4 months clean... I tried having a cheeseburger last week and It just made me sick! I can't believe I used to eat that and that much...my husband asked me if I wanted to order food I just looked around at the people in the food court who were mostly big..with big soda drinks and big food containers and platters I was like,"NO THANKS" I refuse to go back...!!

I work about 10 hrs a day so I don't have time to go to the gym. The other day I realized that my chair goes back quite a bit. I did about 20 "crunches" or so by leaning back and tighting my stomach as I came back up. I was sore the next day so it seems like it's doing something. Is this a good idea? Would it work if I keep doing it everyday?(I already eat healthy I just need the exercise part in there)

I've heard the rumor "if you drink beer rather then hard alcohol then it will help build muscle better". I'm a 19 year old college student. I've been working out for a year and a half off and on and am just now starting to get more serious and get serious about building muscle. So i'm looking for answers.
