Mine has averaged 7-10 pounds. Then I leverage the New Years resolution diets (which seldom work, but a few times have been successful).

Happy Holidays everyone!

Shlane - Girl, I used to pack 20 pounds when I lived in the dorms, then I got out to apts and lived off of Ramen. Nice starving student diet, eh? Forget about the weight, you are graduating! Yes! That is quite an accomplishment - Congratulations!!!! {{{SHLANE}}}

Just start eating healthy and exercise more often than you would normally. Perhaps 1200 calories a day tied with a 30 minute workout? How many calories you should be eating depends on your body and your weight though, so just make sure you eat balanced meals throughout the day.

I use to gain 5 to 7 lbs over the holidays, but the past few years I tried to stay away from those wicked carbs and sugar and I'm doing much better. Last Christmas I actuallly lost weight!!

Before motherhood, ZERO! Ever since then ,my metabolism went south! I do not know how many I gain exactly around holidays ever since, but it's enough for me to know I need to do something about it!

I gain about 5 lbs, but it's not around the holidays, it's around my waist.

Nothing. I eat sensibly and leave it at that. I enjoy my meals but don't try to cram in more than will fit. It's not difficult.
