Substituting egg whites for whole eggs helps reduce weight as the majority of the calories and fat in an egg are in the yolk. The white has about 16 calories. However, most of the nutrients are as well. So as part of an overall plan to cut fat and calories, yes.

It doesn't help you LOSE weight, but they are very low in fat, so if your on a diet, it definately helps to only the eat the egg white, instead of the whole egg.

egg whites are a very low calorie source of protein. 1 large egg white contains 3.5 grams of protein with no carbs or fats and is roughly 15 calories. replacing higher fat protein sources for cooked egg whites would be one way to help aid in fat loss or weight management

If you eat egg whites and veggies, fish, chicken, avoid pork, cake, grease and fat and exercise, then yes, eating whites would help to reduce weight.
