Alright, so I am 14, have a pretty average/athletic build, fairly tall, about 5' 11" and growing fast. By January I would like to have abs, is this possible? Right now I am running about 4-5 miles a day and lifting weights 3 days a week. I have a pretty good diet and drink primarily water. With daily sit-ups, is it possible to get abs by January, if not, when should I expect to see them using the same plan listed above? At times they can be seen, and it is the thin layer of fat that conceals them otherwise. That should help with the time aspect as I am not working from scratch. The situps are used to make them larger and more firm as well as tone up the lower abs as they are smaller. The running/water is to help with loss of body fat percentage. Thanks Everyone

How much weight would i lose by next monday if i eat no bread, pasta, rice, noodles, muffins, doughnuts, cookies (anything made of grains), drank no soda, pops, juice, and ate no meat, no junk food such as chips, candy, etc...
Only ate Vegetables, fruits, Tofu, and 2-3L of water a day
And used the stairs a lot.
and im 18
How much weight would i lose in a week?

a person could look skinny and weigh a lot??


and is it possible that someone could have a lot of muscle and still weigh a skinny weight around 100 at 5'8 and be a size00


or does working out make you look huge/?
does working out make you weigh more in the end because muscle is denser than fat????

I will preface this by saying I'm of Italian-American descent and worked in an Italian restaurant in college, and can cook REAL Italian food.

That said, some nights I work late and get home late and just chow on a can on Spaghettios or Chef Boy R Dee ravioli out of mere convenience.

Is this really that bad? It's only 450 calories -- practically every other meal has more calories. Thanks for your dietary and culinary advice.

Swimming itself losing many calories- it is the drop in temperature that forces the body to hold onto fat for insulation (swimmers have 5% more body fat than runners), increases appetite dramatically, & lowers metabolism that researchers have proven actually CAUSES weight gain. As a triathlete, I dont have the option to just quit swimming, but I desperately need a solution b/c only after my swims do I freeze all day and eat like a horse (on other days I have almost total control of my diet) and it is ruining my attempts at weight loss. Would 30 min in a sauna reverse these symptoms? hot tea and soup? going for a run? I'm finding lots of evidence that the research is true (http://www.epigee.org/fitness/swimming.html) but no one has provided any solutions.

I love spaghetti but is eating too much of it unhealthy? i eat it like 4 times a week just spaghetti and cheese no sauce or anything. Is bad for cholesterol. i know the carbs make you fat, but i have such a high matabalism that i dont gain weight..

My cholesterol has gone up recently and I'm trying to lower it. The problem is that I'm already skinny. I want to lower my cholesterol without getting skinnier. What should I do? I also have a very fast metabolism. Would that affect what kind of effect a diet would have on me? I messed today up I know.
Age:20
My height is 5'10
My weight...: ( 185

I live in Florida and its 5:27pm
And am drinking loads of water....ok three cups so far because I want to eat out of habit.

What sort of exercises can I do right now to burn 500 calories now?

every day i work out and it perfectly but its taking so long for my results to pull through......
Breakfast-rice puffs
lunch-turkey wrap with apple
snack-light and fit yogurt and atkins advantage bar
dinner-veggies with protien and apple
followed by an hour of cardio and circuit training
iv been doing this for the past 2 months i lost some pounds but not the results i want

jogged lightly for 20 minutes before breakfast.
breakfast - big bowl of wholegrain cereal + skim milk.
I wasn't hungry at all until lunch..So I didn't bother having my midmorning snack. (why eat if your not hungry??)
then for lunch I had nonfat strawberry yogurt+granola..A kind of big bowl of it, it filled me up anyways. But then after I just grabbed a banana.. not sure why.. lol.
For dinner we're planning on having chicken.. with the skin on. Should I make a separate meal? I've already kinda ate a lot today. Im not hungry..But Im concerned about what I already ate and what I am going to eat. Help?
Oh and should I do more exercise?
Keep in mind I'm 13.. I used to be really chunky but now I'm 125 lbs and 5'3. I don't like exercising too much but I force myself to at least do 20 minutes in the morning. + I do 50 situps, leg-ups and 100 trunk rotations after jogging and again 2 hrs after dinner.
