Alright, so I am 14, have a pretty average/athletic build, fairly tall, about 5' 11" and growing fast. By January I would like to have abs, is this possible? Right now I am running about 4-5 miles a day and lifting weights 3 days a week. I have a pretty good diet and drink primarily water. With daily sit-ups, is it possible to get abs by January, if not, when should I expect to see them using the same plan listed above? At times they can be seen, and it is the thin layer of fat that conceals them otherwise. That should help with the time aspect as I am not working from scratch. The situps are used to make them larger and more firm as well as tone up the lower abs as they are smaller. The running/water is to help with loss of body fat percentage. Thanks Everyone

I think you have a great work out corriculum and it sounds like you're eating pretty healthy. I think January may be a bit quick although you should notice your stomach change towards your goal by that time. I would up the amount you work on your stomach. Do crunches and lig lifts as well. If your ultimate goal is to have good abs, there is a lot more you can do. Dont be afraid to eat; just eat healthy.

Up the amount you work your stomach and I think you would be happy with the results by march / april.

Variety of exercise is the key I have found. For example..an exercise called Mountain Climbers.

Mountain climbers are done by starting in a pushup position
and then shuffling your feet in and out so that your knees are
moving in under your chest and then back out to starting
position. It sort of resembles climbing a mountain but flat on
the floor. If you want an advanced version, you can also shuffle your hands 8-10 inches forward and backward in
addition to the leg movements. This really makes it a full
body exercise and MUCH more difficult than standard mountain climbers.

After finishing each exercise, rest about 30 seconds before
starting the next exercise. Rest about 1-2 minutes after
completing each "tri-set" before repeating.

This will give you one of the best ab workouts you've ever had
without even doing any direct ab exercises. You'll see what I
mean after you try it!

Once you get away from the myth that a 1000 crunches and 500 situps a day is all you need to do for great abs, then amazing results can be seen.

There is a completely free 65 page ebook about exercise, nutrition, abs and stomaches in particular at http://www.projext.co.uk that you can download (no catch!) and it is excellent.

It helped me greatly.

Hi,

I've tried so many different diets in the last 10 years that I can say now, they don't work!
A few months ago, I came across a great product for weight loss and like many others I was skeptical about it. But I really wanted to lose weight and I tried it. The results were excellent and I lost 20 pounds in 2 months. I felt fantastic and I dropped another 5 pounds safely. That's why I recommend you check this product at http://www.thin-quick.us where they have a free trial and you only pay $4.95 shipping and handling.
Good luck!

Sounds good. You might want to work your back and the abs by holding on with your arms and picking up your lower body, same with your back. LIke hook your legs, while facing down and have your pelvis on something and lift up with stenghten your back and side muscles. Then for the front Do the opposite put you torso on the bench and hold on to somethng and lift your bottom and leges up. Both will help and your back reall really spread. Buff out. Take care.
