ppl say that muscle weighs more than fat....however what they mean is that muscle is denser than fat, just like comparing a large amount of cotton and a small peice of lead....
so if you lose 1 pound of fat do you also gain 1pound of muscle?
and if i do so,will i gain weight or still remain the same weight?
and if you injured ur muscles, will you gain weight after they repair themselves?

I don't have an eating disorder so don't start on me, but I feel like I've gained too much weight lately. It needs to go away. I'll be at the gym and all that tomorrow but for today, can I just make myself throw up once?

I usually work out 6 days a week for about 35-40 minutes. I jog for 20 minutes at the beginning, then walk for the rest of the time. However, I don't seem to be losing any weight or toning up more than i already a. My question is...

Should i increase the amount of TIME i am working out in total, or should i up the amount of time i JOG to and keep the same amount of time for exercise i do currently?

Breakfast: Half a slice of wheat/multigrain bread with a little butter

Lunch: One slice of wheat/multigrain bread with peanut butter

Dinner: Usually a mix of stir fried vegetables or soup & tofu

After school is when I'm usually hungriest so I'm trying to bloat myself with water. I swear, it's torture. If anyone has other suggestions that would be great.

Also, I absolutely / HATE / the small meals idea. I just don't do that. So I try to eat three meals and leave at least three or four hours between each.

As for exercise, I have a gym membership and I'm trying to convince my mom to drop me off there for a quick 30 min cardio workout. Otherwise, I'll try to start taking walks around my neighborhood track again. How long should I walk for? How fast?

Anyway, I'm trying to lose at least 10 pounds before 08. Is this a okay plan so far?

My diet is fairly healthy, and I take supplements, but at 8:00 each night I buy a Twix bar, is this an unhealthy habit? Should I cut back to one a week or something?

I'm currently doing a weight lifting program that recommends working your upper body and resting for a day before working your lower body. Then I'm supposed to wait a day before going back to my upper body. The logic is that if I don't wait a day, my body won't have time to repair itself from my weightlifting session, thus I will be undoing any progress made the day before. Given that I'm 18 and my body should therefore be fairly resilient, shouldn't I be able to simply alternate on a daily basis?
