Yes. Nuts are the equivalent of the H Bomb as far as protein is concerned. They are a highly concentrated protein source and very nutrient dense. This means they are good for you, but not in huge amounts. Too much protein (especially from nuts) can overwhelm the kidneys and cause a whole host of health issues. I suggest eating no more than a small handful of nuts a day, and make sure they are SPROUTED. Raw nuts are in a dormant form that is inherently undigestible. Nature engineered nuts that way so that seed could be spread and new nut trees could grow. Raw nuts contain enzyme inhibitors specifically aimed at the digestive enzymes mammals produce that keep you from digesting the nutrients inside. In addition, they contain anti-nutrients that bind up with important minerals and keep them from being absorbed. To get the most from your almonds, buy raw organic almonds and sprout before eating. Simply soak your almonds in pure water overnight to deactivate the enzyme inhibitors and anti nutrients and make them safe to eat and easy to digest. They are also more nutritious and delicious once sprouted.

So, consume in moderation, and only if raw and sprouted.

Enjoy!

Not at all, as long as you get the unsalted kind. Almonds are all natural and a great source of many vitamins, minerals, good fats and fiber.

It's not "bad", but they are high in calories. The fat found in almonds is a good kind, but still they shouldn't be eaten in excess.

nuts and seed are great sources of fats but you have to watch the serving size because the calories add up very quickly. the daily fat intake should range from 20-30% daily.
