ppl say that muscle weighs more than fat....however what they mean is that muscle is denser than fat, just like comparing a large amount of cotton and a small peice of lead....
so if you lose 1 pound of fat do you also gain 1pound of muscle?
and if i do so,will i gain weight or still remain the same weight?
and if you injured ur muscles, will you gain weight after they repair themselves?

Look at t this way. You see a middle ages man that has a huge pot belly hanging over his belt. It's all flubber (fat); If he goes on a diet and exercises a little, he can go from 350 pounds to 200 pounds. He will have added muscle weight to his body, but greatly reduced the fat weight, for a net loss of 150 pounds. So in other words, don't worry about it. You will be a 1000 times healthier and probably be at the ideal weight for your height and frame.

Merry Christmas (Don't worry about eating during the holidays.......it's only once a year, so enjoy yourself.)

You do not neccesarily gain muscle just by loosing fat. But, muscle weighs more, more dense so you may weigh more ornot loose any weight at all by gaining muscle. The advantage to muscle weight is first, it isn't flabby, but also, the more muscle you have, the more fat you burn, so eventually you build more muscle and burn even more fat and so on. You don't neccesarilly gain weight with "repaired" muscles, only with muscle mass, but remember this is good weight. If you weigh 200 lbs and are 5 foot tall but you body fat % is 12 then your great so don't just look at the numbers out of context.

If you lose fat and gain muscle you will probably weigh more. I always gain weight when I work out regularly, but my shape and body is much more trim and ideal than when I weigh less, but have more fat.
