I'm getting my braces off next month and I am so nervous. Not so nervous about the brackets because they have accidentally taken those off while tightning them and it didn't hurt, but I'm nervous about the molar bands. How do they take them off? I go back in 3 weeks to get the bands taken off, a few brackets and to get impressions done and then I go back 2 weeks after that to get the rest of the hardware off and to get my retainer. How do they take impressions with the braces still on, sounds kind of stupid, wouldn't they just come off with the impressions?

When i was little, i was bitten in the face by a dog. Consequently from this, i was left without a front left front tooth, and have a had a fake one on a retainer for about 10 years now. I am finally able to go and get a tooth implant now that my jaw has stopped growing, but just wanted to know about how much it would cost. Also, the procedure of actually implanting a tooth, and how long it would take for the procedure and healing time. Any help id greatly appreciated. Thanks

I am 19 years old. I am a virgin waiting for marriage. I DO NOT use IV drugs. My parents are completely healthy. However, I kissed this guy. (I DO NOT know if he has HIV or not). Anyways, I have heard that you can get HIV from kissing if both people are bleeding however, I didn't taste any blood from him and I wasn't bleeding. however I did have this opened flap on my gums. It is ALWAYS been there. It was not bleeding and this kiss was open mouthed, oxygen present and it was a 2 second kiss.

Now the reason that I have given you all of this info is because I have these rough patches on the roof of my mouth that are like plaque and my tongue has white stuff on it. I brush my teeth and it isn't as bad. Is this from HIV from that kiss or not?

Also...I took an HIV test this morning. It has been 6 weeks and 4 days since that kiss. How accurate will the results be whenever I get them back?

Please help me out! I am so confused and scared!

Is my tongue white from not brushing? is it hiv?

I've been told that I grind my teeth.

I'm guessing I do this in my sleep because I wasn't aware of it.

My two front upper teeth have been chipped and fixed, my last dentist said that if I kept grinding my teeth then I would break the fixed bit off my teeth.

He never told me how to stop grinding my teeth.

Does anyone know how i'm ment to stop this?

I've had orthadontic treatment and wear and vacuumed plate at night time.

Middle School: A boy walks past the desk of another boy. As the boy walks past, he kicks the desk intentinaly. A part of the desk flips up, knocking out several teeth. The child needs to see a dentist. The cost of the dental visit was over $400.00. Also, the parent of the injured child lost a full days pay.
The child now needs to have the tooth capped prior to braces. That cost yet to be determend.
The child who caused the injury to date has had two or three in-school suspentions.
Who should pay since the inccedent occured during school hours? I would assume all schools reguardless of what state have some form of insurance. Or is it the responsibility of the parents who's child caused the injury?

I need a dentist. My husband and I live in MA and we struggle from paycheck to paycheck to just keep the bills paid and food on the table. MA is very expensive so, even with our meager existence, we make "too much money" to get any sort of assistance for rent or food. We have medical insurance through my work, but we don't have dental insurance.

I lost a filling and my tooth really hurts, but we cant afford a dentist. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to help?

(we have no children, if it matters)

My daughters teeth look great. We brush often. Lately it appears there is more plaque build up. Unfortunately she has had more sugar in the past couple months. The grey spot behind her tooth appeared like a shadow of the natural indentation of her tooth. But now the grey area has spread. Her teeth look pearly white otherwise, I would not have noticed this discoloration unless she tilted her head back. Her other teeth look fine.

Hello,

All 4 wisdom teeth of mine have cavities, are infected and causing great pain. They have been infected for the past few months I believe, but I just got my dental insurance. I am getting all 4 extracted tomorrow.

I was no prescribed anti-biotics. I was wondering, how do we know this infection didn't spread to my bloodstream, heart or brain yet? Can I die from this? Should I seek further treatment after the teeth are out tomorrow?

Thanks so much,
Adam

My back ones are straight, 6 front on top and 7 on bottom are crooked. If I go for false teeth, should I have all pulled at once, or top and bottom separately? Should I only get the crooked ones pulled and then get bridges? What are the pros and cons of false and bridges?
