I recommend sea salt over table salt. Mix it with warm water and gargle with it.

If its for a bad tooth ache. You warm up water and put salt inside, make sure you stir it up. Swoosh it in your mouth for ten seconds then spit it out. Taste bad but if you have a tooth ache, it works.
